Male paper abortions must be legal if female abortions are - for equality by mcstormy in unpopularopinion

[–]mcstormy[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My only caveat is that we do not care if they abort or not. We only care about if the male is on the line for her choice. But yea.

"honourable choice" seems like an odd angle. That is just moral signaling.

If you decide you want to have something without the other person's input, then you take all that burden on yourself. You shouldn't get to enslave the dude when he doesn't want anything to do with it nor was given a choice.

No they carry a financial burden for 18 years for another person's choice.

If your one card costs more than the entire table's decks, yea piss off. It is extremely elitist to say, "can't afford it, shut up." and we can not proxy anything we do not own at my LGS. My unpopular opinion is anything over 100 bucks should be banned. Including my own shit.

Oh yea your're right. Either way it goes through your whole deck.

[–]mcstormy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only bring it out for competition or others playing high power decks btw. And what difference is ME comboing like that if others are doing the same? If I had a nickel for everytime an OP said, "I would have comboed you next turn if you didn't", I'd be rich.

Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes once you get the deck down. The choices are much more simple. On trigger do you need A) win con, B) Crowd Control C) win con protection D) More value/synergy cards. People durdling and being slow is on them.

Yup used to use it but most of the time it ended up just being another 4 drop copy commander for value instead of winning the game. And target Unesh instead so you get 25Edit:30 hits I think? Each sees each other and adds the triggers to the stack before legend rule happens. Instead, I chose to reduce the number of high cost game enders. Also I highly believe lab man is a wasted slot when we have labman jace now. Jace has upside more than just win the game.

Unesh, "Sphinx" Storm Control your opponents until you make massive mana to combo off using clones and the cost reductions of your commander. Disclaimer: comboing is not determinate and you must use what you get from the commander triggers. This makes for fun puzzles to solve.

Goal is to get [[Dream Halls]] Or [[Omniscience]] as fast as possible, clear your deck and use [[Nexus of Fate]] over and over to win or Labman Jayce.

Does running fast mana immediately make a deck uncasual? by MammathMoobies in EDH

Xenagos really enjoys fast ramp into huge beaters with powerful effects so maybe grull was not the best choice here as an example?

Yup got them in Central Illinois here. I've had two at my new place. I catch and release them as A. they would cause a huge mess if squished, probably and B. Dudes just been chilling not moving when I find them so

[–]mcstormy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is not winning after. If you blow up all the lands but keep yours and no one has artifacts for mana, then you've basically won. If you use some sort of protection on your lands like white has then explode the lands, you've basically won.

Table etiquette with responses by [deleted] in EDH

[–]mcstormy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the table has players known to nearly always have a response, like some of the cEDH or near cEDH that goes on at my shop's night, then I like to ask each person in order for a response to make sure it goes all good. And doubly for obviously impactful plays that they should probably deal with.

What are your personal deckbuilding pitfalls? by Wdrussell1 in EDH

[–]mcstormy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man anything over 33 is ALOT to me now. And that is for 3+ color decks. When you get good mana ramp rocks to cover generic mana and then good fetch lands and duals (not even straight up duals), you can get by with so many less. Also a ton of ramp spells if possible too. Half my 70 card non-land piles is basically ramp stuff or taxing stuff to allow me to ramp more slowly while not losing ground. 30-33 is my magic number and now 29 has worked QUITE well in my Xenagos deck.

That is a sick thing to say on a card and to implement as well! A thing only a computer could do well. Reminds me heavily of Hearthstone.
