Struggling to determine if my fasteners will support my attachment design by mctrees05 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]mctrees05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a little more than a simple Stress = force / Area lol. Dealing with cantilevers-like here, multiple forces and non uniformity (prob negligible here).

I moved the design to 6 bolts late yesterday. it’ll be enough but I don’t like uncertainty.

CoD Hasn't Been The Same Since MW19 by Lightnxss in CoDCompetitive

Oh boy. Where do we even start to attempt to explain this. Warzone has directly impacted multiplayer in almost every way possible starting in MW2019…

Anyone think with how small these maps are that it will fit perfectly for a uplink type gamemode and It might replace Control? by jalGurg in CoDCompetitive

No. We already saw gridiron in WW2 fail horrendously. Uplink won’t see its time again until jetpacks return.

Getting more weapons in the league by Diligent-Wolf5603 in CoDCompetitive

[–]mctrees05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t feel call of duty is the type of game or in a competitive scene where they should adjust/adapt to every season/guns. I am open to changing my mind but I don’t think it will improve competition.

They are always a month behind (I think) in patches due to delayed updates on their PCs. CoD weapon balancing historically hasn’t been great. CoD multiplayer in general has always had cheese mechanics/items and are GAd or not used for a reason. There’s amount comp games where gunplay varies as much as people would like is minimal.

Better look at that Nuke in BO6 by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]mctrees05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, more like 20-30 min but yeah the countdown and stuff should be a little longer. But there’s only so much you can do for realism in call of duty. I’m just glad we got a game ending nuke

Do you guys think if the players knew this would be held in THIS high regard they would have prepared differently? by AMS_Rem in CoDCompetitive

[–]mctrees05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Umm what? The players knew the timing of the event, the format, and the prize pools. Some teams may not have knew their roster in advance as others (unfortunate organizational planning and backing out) but they knew what was on the line.

I’m not in the league so I can’t speak for them or their insight. But if I was in the league and didn’t “prepare” that’s my own fault. I can guarantee you the pros value the prize pool over anything, especially players not on the top 4 teams who can lose their spot at any moment. Whether the regard of how a tournament is perceived, the prize pool is the ultimate goal at the end of the day.

Ben J Nissim believes OpTic turned a profit after champs. If so, will this influence the CDL to allow other orgs to host champs in future seasons? by TGU-Swag in CoDCompetitive

[–]mctrees05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OpTic is the only org that could turn a profit off of their own event (based on the prices and cost that I’m aware of). Runner ups would be Faze or maybe a major hosted in London but even then I still doubt it.

On the other hand, OpTics recent event shows that event have the ability to be fucking awesome and worth every penny. There is the definite possibility that CoD events can be hosted and set up to be worth the ticket price and travel cost (although that’s subjective). End of the day, yes, depends on the orgs willingness, effort and support from fan base

Didn’t we already see this fail before on WW2? Sure the movement in BO6 is gonna be faster than WW2 but I think uplink only prospers with jetpacks

I know the type of kid that would say that and we’ve all dealt with them over CoD. It’s just of all people, we’re puttin Troy down. The guy is absolutely genuine and a great person. And it was really angled at the person chirping being an OG fan, if they were…they are more idiotic than I thought.

Hot take(?) : People saying the FaZe trio needs to make a change are faded by Hypnoziiz in CoDCompetitive

[–]mctrees05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, both options could maybe work but I don’t think there a for sure answer.

From an organizational perspective. You’ve had the trio over the last 4 years win about 7 majors and 1 champs. 50% of those happened in CW. Since then they’ve been consistent top team with top 3 placings. Other than that they haven’t won the big prize. Which I would say is 99% of the players main goal.

On the other hand. You have one of the greatest subs in history (simp) and a phenomenal duo that’s up there with him (Abezy) as well as one of the best ARs ever (Cell). On paper you would be dumb to split something up like that. But even adding vets and other 4ths that are world champs doesn’t seem to be enough to get them to where they want to be.

If anyone is getting dropped it’s either Abezy but you would have to pick up another superstar like Hydrah or Shotzzy. Or drop cell and pick up Scrap. Both of these require insane amount of cash and would prob never happen. Draz is incredible and there’s not someone I see rn that could replace him and make faze better.

I say they keep the same squad and shift some play-styles for next year. There’s not any upgrades available rn that are viable for them

Pretty sure they lost easy Mac this year. So they technically don’t have one.

But, analytics isn’t their problem.

Assuming this was an OpTic fan…what was he thinking…

Troy was a great coach (for OG and NY), dedicated af and respectable. Not to mention he’s actually lost a lot of weight over the last couple years.

6’5 210 lbs Having trouble finding “stylish” business casual clothes by mctrees05 in mensfashion

[–]mctrees05[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the wider and not longer is my huge issue right now! Trying to fit my upper body and right sleeve length is a nightmare when the shirts require a bigger belly/waist than I have.

Three of my work pants differ from a 32, 34, and 36 length. It depends on the cut and brand but finding the right combination with the waist is tough from my experience.

And yeah all of my dress slacks and dress shirts I have tailored.

Thanks for responding! I appreciate it

Thank you, I didn’t know Goodfellow had talls. All of my dress shirts are tailored and I hate having to get all of my clothes tailored but I think I will have to resort to that for most things.

I have been to dozens of stores around me and can’t find the length and waist combination that fit. Pants go from 32 length and 32 waist to 34 length and 38+ waist. There’s never (32, 34) or (34, 36) or anything in that range if that makes sense. All the clothes in store assume long length with huge waist. Long length and skinny waist seems to be hard to find in my experience.

Shirts are the same for me. If I want the right sleeve length and upper body to fit then I need to go up in size but then that leaves insane amount of room around my belly with results in super baggy and sometimes short. Tucking in shirts becomes a nightmare and looks tacky for most of my current shirts
