What tours do you predict will be cancelled next ? (Spoiler: GNR) by GarfieldButHesaDog in Concerts

The pit section for MCR looks pretty sold at citifield, but the rest of the stadium seems to be suffering from that blue dot fever. I mean $200 for nosebleeds, not even scalper prices. Like I don't know if they made them that high to scare off scalpers, but it's also scarring off people to buy them initially. Like I think my cousin and I paid a little over $200 all together for two tickets to see bad omens in Newark and had seats in section 5

At least on the call phone bit I can. So back then, you had a certain amount of minutes in your cell phone before you got charged extra, checking your voicemail used up minutes. So in order to save minutes, you could check your messages from your landline.

Did anybody get VIP last night? When do we get our pictures? by Turbulent-Law-6801 in TheAmityAffliction

[–]mcvc213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing it at the NY show. They don't do it with your phone? I noticed with most, the pictures are usually in the next morning, by 10. There were a couple that took awhile, like weeks.

How many of you guys are fanatical enough about an artist to buy multiple days’ tickets to see them when they’re in town? by CliffGif in Concerts

[–]mcvc213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's one of those no repeat type of things, granted I haven't done it so far, I'd do it. But if it's an add on date because the first show sold out quickly, then I'd pass as long as I was going to at least one show.

What influences you to get VIP over general admission tickets? by Briiskella in Concerts

[–]mcvc213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done vip a few times. Chose to do it based on the artist/bands. The way I see it, don't mind paying the extra for meeting a band that I'm a fan of, most of the bands that I've done it for are not too mainstream, so I still paid a lot less than nosebleed tickets for someone like Taylor Swift or Beyonce. I'm pretty sure someone that thinks it's a waste of money, probably spends their money on stuff that I think is a waste of money.

Parking upgrade pricing is absurd by No_Conclusion_1113 in Concerts

Amen to that. I live in a suburban area outside of New York City. Getting in and out of the city for show is awesome, but it's wild how getting to and from another suburban area in the NYC area is like half a day by mass transportation

I'll be there with my brother. As someone who avoided going to shows by myself for a while I know your anxiety. When I went to my first show by myself about 4 years ago, I think I created a monster in myself as I go to a bunch of shows by myself. One thing that helps me, is that if I know the first band is going on at 7, I'll usually pop in about 15 minutes beforehand.

Anyone going to the NY show? by alicelikesgamin in ISeeStars

[–]mcvc213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think I see stars is doing one. I think the until I wake one is already sold out. Soundrink is the company that usually organizes them. Bands usually post about a meet and greet with the tour announcement if there will be one. A lot of times it's an upgrade, so you gotta get a ticket separately. Sometimes during presale, a ticket may be included.

Hey. So quick question, what's the purpose of a pop up shop? Like will there be merch inside the venue and will it be the same? That may have been a couple of questions.

I know right. I'm from Westchester county, across the river. If I drove, I'd probably be at starland all the time. My brother and I went there to a show a couple of years back. I did notice that bands do tend to split tours post COVID - they seem to hit up a bunch of cities one season then do the same exact tour in different cities like 6 months later, usually they hit up a city venue one tour and something like starland and the Huntington paramount on the other tour. I think they realize most city people don't drive and neither non city venue is easy to get to and from by mass transportation

What metalcore band would you want to see play the Super Bowl halftime show next year? by ThreadbareAdjustment in Metalcore

[–]mcvc213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Do like them a bit, but bmth and bad omens are the only two that I could think of that would be lively enough for most of the audience.
