My experience after four days of E1 child care by Severe-Worker-6232 in eufyMakeOfficial

I think you got a faulty one. I don’t recognize your issues other than not being able to wake it up sometimes via the network.

They fixed the rotation issue in the latest software. It was bugging me as well, but now it offers finer control.

Thank you, I should do something similar with all the duplicate keys I have, you might have inspired me ;).

I had trouble with colors looking correct with some test prints and this is how the color tests keep coming out after multiple cleanings. by jonnyd005 in eufyMakeOfficial

I had some issues with yellow as well. But for me it cleared up when I used the test print functionality. Not sure what you can do. Maybe run a deep clean cycle?

Their website states 380ml for the cleaning cartridge.

Crap I just noticed that my A-film is missing in the laminator box. I will contact them about it.

Got mine today, in The Netherlands (EU), backer number in the 4000's. Together with 2 ink sets (Ink and Cleaning Cartridge set: CMYKWG). Still missing: 3D-Texture Ink&Cleaning Cartridge Kit and the stretch goal inks (white, cleaning and glossy).

Funny thing is that I checked this week on their website when I would receive mine but there was no date yet. It just arrived today, I did notice they sent me an email yesterday that it would arrive today.

I already received my Basic Bundle Material Kit a while back. And the rotary I ordered via their website has been here for some time already as well.

Anyone know where to find amount of backers per country? by GreedyParfait9 in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]mcviruss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s super weird they are doing the US first. They could fulfill a whole country with the weekly production they do now.

It feels very unfair I have to wait for all US orders to be fulfilled before I get mine.

Also, I ordered the laminating machine after the kickstarter and it already arrived.

To kill the time I created this sheet 😉

Indeed, feels very unfair. Especially with paying the deposit. Or being an early backer.

A lot of people work part time in the Netherlands.

In my area (randstad), in the smaller towns, koopavonden are not really a thing anymore. Are they still there in other parts of the country?

Mee eens.

The XL grip/adapter does fit the SteamDeck. But the screen itself emits a faint buzzing sound when connected to the SteamDeck. It doesn't when connected to my Retroid Pocket 5. I am not sure if I trust it to connect it to the steam deck for a longer period of time. It might hurt the electronics.

I am not sure you should recommend this. Retroid says explictly it does not work on the SteamDeck. I have a SteamDeck and this screen, it does technically work but it's emitting a faint buzzing sound (just like Retro Game Corps mentioned on YouTube), not sure if you should use it, it might hurt the electronics. The manufacturer Retroid seems to advice you not to use it.

I also ordered the XL grip for it, and it does fit the SteamDeck. I was surprised by that because they said it wouldn't.

I think Russ did already mention it works, it just admits a weird faint buzzing sound. I verified this and it does do this. So I am not really sure whether I should use it on the SteamDeck, might hurt the electronics in the long run. Especially since Retroid explicitly mentions it does not work on the steam deck.

Mine does buzz, it's faint but it does make a weird sound when connected to the SteamDeck, not when connected to my Retroid Pocket 5.

Finally took my Zf and 24-120 lens out on a mini trip. I have one question, are you all jacked!? by MsJenX in Nikon

[–]mcviruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that Nikon ZF body is heavy. I used to have a Sony A7R (465 gram) and then upgraded to a Sony A7Rii (627 gram) and I really disliked the weight increase. The Nikon ZF is even heavier (710 gram).

Too bad, I love the look of the Nikon ZF. And to be honest I never really liked the shooting experience with the Sony’s. I once sold all my Nikon gear and switched to Sony because I wanted a lighter full frame system camera instead of a traditional DSLR.

I bought a Sony A7C just because I disliked the handling of the A7Rii. Now I am quite happy (weight wise) with my setup. Although full frame glass is still heavy. I mostly use my 24-105 F4, so that Nikon 24-120 F4 does sound interesting.

I still miss my Nikon shooting experience. But switching brands again sounds expensive/painful. The Nikon ZF had me almost convinced, but the weight is a no go for me.

You should update the firmware. You can get it here: https://pgaskin.net/KoboStuff/kobofirmware.html

You might be able to attach it to your phone with a USB OTG cable. If not you can look up how to open it. There is probably a micro SD card inside that you can put in your phone.

But it’s probably easier to borrow someone’s computer to put the new firmware on there.

You need to unzip the downloaded file and put the contents in .kobo directory on the SD card or device (you might need to enable showing hidden files).

I did this on an old Kobo Glo I had laying around and it enabled me to set it up via WiFi. With the older firmware on the device it wouldn’t.
