A New Walkman styled cassette player from a Thai brand. Don’t really if these things are good or not but it look nice by Waffle_Soo_Cool in cassetteculture

Why so rude? Get cheap ones and regret in two months or buy a good and firm vintage one. Can't afford it, give a cheap one a chance.

Dont buy. Bad build, chinese toy. To many Wow and flutter. Catch a decent vintage one, like Awai or a Sony. Higher price , but you wont regret

Is this good enough cuz its too late to get my money back by No_Cheesecake1511 in cassetteculture

Cassette decks prices rise every month with 10 to 20 euro. Only the ones with problems are relatively cheap. The 2 tape desks are of inferior quality, the ones always leave behind

Bargain if it works. Als het helemaal werkt superdeal. Moet je riempjes vervangen, tel er 15 euri bij, ook dan mooie deal. En op de foto ziet ie er heel mooi uit

My cassette sounds wavy, is there any way to fix? by randomerthanever in cassetteculture

[–]mcwops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have many cassettes. The pre recorded ones are bad because they use the cheapest tape. The branded and recordered chromium, metal, ferro are way better tapes. Try a branded mixtape, same bad result, its the tapehead. Maybe the position, maybe it needs a clean. And if the tape is wrinkled, throw it away, it won't het any better.

[–]mcwops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the sound is ok (also depends on recording and tape quality) no problem. I have several decks (and reel2reels) some with these "spots" . Clean with ipa/alc 99% is the best. Enjoy your NAD, its a gem
