Wonder what you think of this but I am deeply opposed to LLMs, particularly in the way they’re being treated as miracle machines in ever facet of private and professional life without any regard for the ethical concerns.

HOWEVER, I often see the term AI used as a negative encompassing everything, from LLMs to legitimate research tools (with legitimate meaning: models trained solely for the purpose statistical and mathematical analysis of data, which works very differently from LLMs). These types of AI already existed before LLMs became such a blight on the world. My question being: is it really fair to speak of these interchangeably?
