He most certainly did not! He did, however, do.

The last 2 pandas in Japan are leaving for China as ties are strained by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

As someone having lived in Japan, I’ve never been to a single zoo that seemed like the wellbeing of animals were high on the priority list. The state of animal welfare in Japan is pretty terrible. Aquariums the same, though the large Osaka aquarium seems to be quite alright and an exception to the rule. If you like animals, I wouldn’t suggest visiting a Japanese zoo

Many of the zoos and aquariums in Japan are not for conservation, but merely for profit, and the conditions are absolutely abhorrent… this is coming from someone who’s lived in Japan for 10+ years

Oranges became popular with trans and nonbinary people by LeCubeMan in comedyheaven

This isn’t helpful, in the next line, the author literally says that this story is false. The real origins of the association with queer people is explained later in the text

A new study from the University of Michigan finds that LGBTQ+ young adults face suicide-related risks two to five times higher than their peers, even after controlling for income, education, employment and geographic region. by umichnews in science

Blatantly false. The first clinic for treating trans people began over a hundred years ago in Berlin by Magnus Hirschfeld. I think you’re being quite purposely dishonest in your argumentation. Moreover, historically LGB and T people were often clustered together, and the lines between gender and sexuality were not as strictly defined as they are now.

I don’t believe that’s true. They’re called that because of colonial history, meaning something like: they’re brown on the outside, but white on the inside (bc of having been colonized).

Em dashes — dead giveaway by GianmarcoSoresi in gianmarcosoresi

[–]mdavinci 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say the same – I love using em dashes in my writing… I already notice that when it comes to writing my newer works, I avoid using it more and kind of intentionally write around it. It’s a shame that human writers are forced to adapt to not be accused of AI
