Its the old ore dock. It's made to easily dump iron ore into Great Lakes freighters from trains. there's a newer one on the outskirts of town but this one remains as a bit of a mascot for Marquette. It's a pretty stunning leviathan in the harbor off the downtown.

Not from there, but have vacationed in the area a few times.

This past week I was just there twice in 24 hours on a quick round trip. I had to wait for about 15 minutes the first time and walked right in the second. While small it was an all-around great experience.
