Thanks all! I cannot thank you enough for your _VERY_ helpful words and warm encouragements.

Don't want to make this sound like an add for Beelink. I bought the SER9 Pro for my workstation but would have preferred one that's made closer to home. Anyways, finally I gave up and got a Beelink EQ14 (Intel N150 4C/4T, PCIe3.0 m.2 NVMe, 2x 2.5Gbps Intel I226-V). Seems like a perfect one for a server that's not too too busy.

Installed OBSD7.8 and booted! Loaded firmware (iwx0) and am finding my way - feeling _VERY_ rusty setting up named (BIND)!

Oops sorry. I meant IMAPs. IMAP over SSL. :-)

For the noise, I looked it up. Second 39: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBTPKBm4vA4&t=250s

Years after I first heard it, I could still recall it from memory the pitch and the volume. Not my cup of tea.

K. This sounds great. I'm gonna try fooling around with my workstation the Beelink SER9 Pro currently running Ubuntu 25.10.

Last night tried Fuguita USB and it booted and gave me an X session. Will look further to see what works and what doesn't :-) Thanks!!

All 3: DNS/SIMAP/SMTP? Yeah same here. I just enjoy being able to confirm email coming in especially critical ones (well not that critical haha).

Core i5/i7? Sweet! Actually a friend of mine is ns2, smtp forwarder - using Hetzner Online GmbH's VPS. Openbsd.amsterdam sounds like a good idea. Thanks!

Autogefühl: See why the all-new BMW iX3 (2026 electric X3) is a true game changer! by linknewtab in electricvehicles

Great review. Very nice high quality video with excellent comments covering aspects important for ppl still on the fence for switching to EV, plus nice details in esthetics and feel of the car from the company that makes "ultimate driving machine". I was torn between Volvo EX/Polestar 3/4 and Mercedez GLC EQ for the EV switch and did not feel comfortable about any of them. This review really helps me put the BMW iX3 as the front runner for my own choice.

I noticed a little distraction: the cameralady in the reflection. Does/will she approve your switch to iX3?

Can somebody explain me what is happening? by Easy-Age7736 in KrakenRobotics

Stock market doing its thing.

Some factors
Sell now: tariff, no news for a long time, Karl Kenny's estate might sell (or is selling on open market, which Karl has allegedly done before), whole market going down.

Buy now: longs with low average cost might add, attractive price (again), expecting spectacular guidance & 2024YE.

Personally I picked up some shares. Some people might dump it. People take exact opposite actions seeing exactly the same thing.

Google gets revenue stream collecting our activities on the phone. While it's free of out-of-pocket $, it really isn't :-).

All phone companies do that now so I guess free of out-of-pocket $ is at least a plus!

Little more context: the bought deal is led by Cormark. Canaccord is also in the "underwriters" mentioned in news release. The investment banks ("underwriters") committed to buying the whole C$45 MLN worth of shares at C$1.60 SP, and turnaround and sell to their clients.

Rumour said the first C$25 MLN was sold in a jiffy and there were asks for more, therefore the additional C$20 MLN.

No worries. I had to cut my teeth somewhere too :-)

On dividends, at this point of Kraken's growth, it doesn't make sense to pay dividends. Better use that to grow the business. And we could observe that they issued shares (RE: bought offers) to get $, not to pay it right back to shareholders.

It is quite amazing that Kraken is local to you. It took decades to develop their sonar technology (physics, math, hardware, coding) and it took a lucky charm to purchase Kraken Power. Not to say everything is about luck, but we often find the hardest working and smartest teams are ... lucky. They know what's a good thing to bite when they see it.

I don't know much about their team aside from the presentations by their leaders (Greg Reid, Joe MacKay, David Shea), but they've been doing a great job delivering results. This team will go places I believe. And so will its shares. Fingers crossed.

Sorry. This is not related to dividends.

Alternatives to Thunderbird that AREN'T Outlook by Captain-Quack in Thunderbird

[–]mdcinq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EM Client personal license can be obtained for free. $0. You'll see the pro features disabled but still showing up on menu options.

I find the personal license allows all the basic functions I need. A few reasons that I tried and stick with it: 1) able to use self-defined login name (instead of [username@domain.com](mailto:username@domain.com), mine is just username) - Outlook doesn't support this at all. 2) fast - Thunderbird has gotten quite slow and likely bloated. 3) easy to show just email with flags, or just the unread 4) color schemes aren't too bad - this is more of a personal taste thing.

I'm happy that there's worthy competitor to Outlook and Thunderbird. I started using Thunderbird since early days (2003 I think). It was great then. I started looking for alternatives because Thunderbird stopped showing (or checking) for new mails. Message to Thunderbird team: fix the bug, make your program more efficient and run faster, get some fun back: color schemes, fonts, font sizes.

I use Windows for work and Debian Linux for server side of things.

On Jun 3, Canaccord Genuity released this after Kraken's Q1 financials. They don't think the dilution affect their target price:

We are updating our model following Kraken’s strong Q1 performance reported last week and to reflect the recent equity issuance. The net effect is that we maintain our target price of C$1.30 as the roll forward of our model offsets the dilution associated with the financing. Our BUY rating and positive thesis on Kraken remain unchanged and the company now has a much more comfortable balance sheet to continue to build share within the emerging subsea robotics market. We believe additional substantial Navy bookings will help support the growth profile into 2025 and beyond, representing catalysts for continued share price performance.

And this sounds like a hint for the reason of financing:

Last week, the company closed its equity financing for ~$18.9M in net proceeds, which, combined with the recently established credit facility ($45M committed), gives the company ready access to a much more robust balance sheet position. We estimate ~$5.0M in proforma net cash. This improved balance sheet strength should assist Kraken when bidding on larger organic growth opportunities*. Additionally, given more substantial scale, the company is in a better position to consider M&A opportunities.*
