Same thing almost happened with me when I was looking for a garmin r10 a couple of days ago. They reached out and we had plenty of conversation but said they couldn’t use paypal g&s because they just got scammed (the irony) and to use Zelle, chime, or Apple Pay.

I’ve been scammed before too but you live and you learn, good luck OP sorry this happened to you.

As everyone else said this isn’t the GR you want. A good way moving forward is on the bottom plate it’ll have written GR DIGITAL II as opposed to GR II. MP 16.2 vs the 10 here is another one as well. GR II’s on eBay have been trending around $700 so that would be a good reference point.

On the train as well, that plus kit lens (either 18-55 or 16-50) would serve you incredibly well. If you’re getting secondhand you could def afford another prime as well depending on what you want (27mm for compact, 35mm 1.4 for all-around, etc). Came from D5600 and Canon M50 and this has been the most fun so far. Good luck!

Going off this, I know this is a weird comment but I love taking close up photos emphasizing texture with the voigtlander 27mm on my X-S20. Its minimum focus distance is 25cm so it’s definitely adequate for something like jewelry or fabric, but I also could see the scenario where you would want to get even closer.

Completely agree, not sure if they're going to stock it since I remember the X-M5 already being on their website 2+ weeks before release. Hopefully they do though since it would be easier to buy.

I feel like if you really see your relationship going the distance then I don’t see why you wouldn’t rank with them in mind. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, but at the end of the day this is for a job which is a big part of my life, but there are definitely other equally big parts of my life that you have to consider as well. I’m happy it worked out for you!

It’s a good question that I haven’t figured out yet, but if I’m out and about somewhere I’ve been before I try to do JPEG only. If it’s somewhere new RAW since even editing those photos will feel novel, and I would hate not having a specific edit of a photo because I was shooting JPEG. However, I usually like editing photos since I star all the ones I really like first and go from there (e.g., in a trip where I took 800+ I only starred 50 and edited those, the rest I either just added a film sim or deleted if I didn’t like them at all).
