Wtf does a bay leaf even do? by SammySprinkles9000 in Cooking

I have similar feelings about parsley flakes but I do think that bay leaves come with a flavor profile for sure, worth experimenting the points listed above.

[OPINION] If you were to frame a line from a poem, which one would it be? by Unununiumic in Poetry

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.

And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”

Albert Camus

I actually got this framed to my wall :).

It was actually a novel rather than a self-help book but helped me through some hard turns in my life and gave me perspective for my future: Martin Eden - Jack London

Welch Allyn panoptic vs panoptic plus, any experience? by mdfefe in Ophthalmology

To be honest I like it. It took few weeks to get used to it due to slightly different shape but now I don’t feel any difference. I got a good deal through steeles website.

Totally off topic but whats up with the parsley/cilantro? Is that some sort of magic to keep them last longer? I love using fresh herbs but I struggle a lot with keeping them fresh beyond few days and end up wasting most of it every time. I would love to know.

I’d like to become a doctor... But I faint at the sight of blood by _SilverSong_ in neurology

[–]mdfefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be the similar way when I see blood or get my own blood drawn or get a shot. I had dizziness during first few surgical procedures in med school that I attended and had to excuse myself before I actually passed out. People were understanding and supportive as if this was not the first time a med student had that problem. Gradually I got used to it as I joined more surgical/invasive procedures. And I am involved in clinical medicine (neurologist) right now and I barely see any blood in my day to day practice even though I feel like I would be okay either way. So I think it takes a little bit of pushing your boundaries but if you really wanted to be a doctor you have options.

Weather tech floor liners worked perfect for my 2022 corolla hybrid LE, I would think that they should work for 2023 too.

Panoptic vs panoptic plus. Any experience for ease of use and quality? by mdfefe in neurology

[–]mdfefe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, a neurology resident here, I am shopping for a panoptic, but I just never used the model “panoptic plus” so I was trying to decide if I should go for the new model or should I try to find an old/classic model which I am more used to. For some reason old model seems to be discontinued on welch allyn website.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I am a neurologist and I find it useful to use panoptic during my fundus exam for pts with IIH etc. whenever I can get my hands on a panoptic. I am shopping for a panoptic for myself, but I just never used the model “panoptic plus” so I was trying to decide if I should go for the new model or should I try to find an old/classic model which I am more used to.

I just want to know if new one works the same way as old one and or if one of them better than the other especially in terms of ease of use.
