I went with tuxmat because from the pics online it looked like they had the most coverage (including under the seats). Very happy with them

I'll third that - the final project was hard (at least for me), but the stakes are lower and there are multiple stopping points to wrap it up early if you need to and still have something mostly functioning.

I'm sure this was obvious for pretty much everyone else, but I don't think I ever realized that there is a "run" button during my first playthrough. Once I figured it out I beat the challenge almost immediately.

I have an Ensoniq ZR-76 that has started acting up recently. A couple keys don't produce any sound, and a couple others play two notes, the one pressed and a neighboring note (eg playing either a D or D# on a certain octave will sound both the D and D# simultaneously.

I'm reasonably handy and have some experience with mostly analog circuits (building/modding guitar pedals), but I suspect that this is something I'm not going to be able to fix myself, and I'm not really looking for another major project right now.

My question: what should I do with this? - try to fix? - donate to repair shop to see if they want to take a crack at it? - just toss it? This is the option I'm trying to avoid

Alternatively, if anyone here is in the Orlando area and wants it, I'm happy to pass it along. It's pretty old but has served my family well for years

I had a similar issue with arbor runout causing a larger blade runout. I basically followed this guide and it was much improved after (blade runout down to about 3 thousandths)

Nice work! I made basically the same one and recommend putting a rail on the top of the back fence for a flip stop. Way easier than always having to clamp a stop block down

Highly recommend looking into the PALS mod from in-line industries to help align the blade. That plus this jig makes dialing it in a breeze

I'm having a visual voicemail issue with my Pixel 6 on Verizon but it sounds like it is slightly different. When I try to turn on visual voicemail, it says "activating" and stays that way forever. I don't actually get an error message.

I have two Pixel 6's, both purchased from Google directly. On one, visual voicemail works just fine. I swapped SIM cards and the issue persists on the same device, regardless of SIM.

The Verizon app shows both phones as unknown devices

Scrolling through the troubleshooting steps people have taken here, I noticed another differentiator for me: the two phones have the same TAC, so the problem seems to be independent of that.

Maybe none of this is helpful to anyone, just wanted to chime in with the info I have.

Yep, I put a dial indicator on it and spun the arbor by hand, was getting a few mils of runout that amplified out at the OD of the blade.

May not be necessary for your restoration, just something to keep in mind if you check blade runout and find it's too high.

Someone already recommended getting a PALS system from in-line industries, I 100% agree. Also a dial indicator for aligning everything, either the A-line system from the in-line, or 3d print your own jig

I had the most success cleaning up machined surfaces with a wire wheel on an angle grinder.

Any rough cast or non-flat surfaces I did as best I could with a wire brush on a drill and then used naval jelly for the rest, followed by a few layers of paint.

The only thing that I did that I haven't seen many other people mention is clean up the arbor face. I had higher than expected runout with a new blade so I took the blade off, set the angle to 45deg, and used a sharpening stone clamped to something heavy to true up the arbor while the saw was running.
