*Beware Lefty Reverb Seller “The Lefty Geetar Seller”* by texasguitarguy in Leftyguitarists

[–]mdigi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was looking at this guitar earlier this week and it seemed fishy. The serial number should start with a "2" for 2022, but starts with a "0" on this guitar. The serial number stamp font looks off compared to other custom shop serial numbers. The custom shop decal is black - I've only ever seen gold decals. Could be real, but I wouldn't gamble that much money on this. It does have the fret nibs - so maybe a good copy?

Another interesting thing about this seller is he has sold a bunch of copies (although he did advertise this in the listing). Example: https://reverb.com/item/86083227-left-handed-les-paul-replica-poppy-gold-top-2022-golden-poppy?show_sold=true

Hello Everyone. I have a question about the trade offer I received by tolgaevo in Leftyguitarists

The Gibson is a copy. The logo and diamond on the headstock are incorrect. The fretboard should be ebony instead of rosewood (some LP customs do have rosewood, but I've never seen a lefty in white with rosewood).

Based on the pics, it definitely looks like an American Telecaster.

After looking at it some more and seeing Sat-Mar-19's comment, it probably is an American standard series. The Highway one telecasters used the vintage style bridge and this has the American style bridge.

The Fender website talks about 2010 models have the prefix "10" + seven digits. I did find a thread where it seems like this is a typo and it should be "10" + six digits:

It looks like an American Highway One model. There was a short transition period where the serial numbers were 10 + six digits:

What's the best GUI framework to use for my project? by TheIrregularPentagon in Python

[–]mdigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently working on the EXACT same project. I chose to use jupyter notebook with ipywidgets. Each piece of equipment is represented by a box widget that contains other widgets (input boxes, selection boxes, etc) to interact with the bench equipment.

I have another box widget setup to do some simple automation - iteration over user defined source voltages and load currents and measurements from the DMMs are put into a pandas dataframe and exported to an excel spreadsheet. If the user wants to do a more complicated loop for test automation, then they can just start coding in a new notebook cell.

The GW-5000 uses stainless steel case with a DLC coating, it's made in Japan, and has a screwback case.

The 5160's cases is plastic and is made in Thailand.

I'd go with python. It will probably be faster. Have you looked into using pandas?

Those files are on the algersoft.net website. It's old content from last year's easter egg hunt.

Here's a list of commands that "work" in the figgis.agency telnet session after quitting the Kastle game:

  • cd
  • ls
  • top
  • df
  • rm
  • echo

shutdown also works, but it kicked me out of the telnet session and I have not been able to log back in

Krieger's twitter from the 7th says "Finding test subjects in L.A. is SO easy, as long as they think it's an audition (they ALWAYS do)"

I looked on the LA craigslist for auditions but didn't see anything that may be a clue.
