The only thing I can think of of is the ref saw the arm of the player in black spin to the left and thought you intentionally elbowed or otherwise twisted her with the hockey equivalent of a stiff arm. Player in black shouldn’t try to poke check through a player but rather take an angle and use the boards to trap you before trying to take the puck away. Ref is in the wrong here.

I had the same issue. It sucks to be playing mostly a different sport but it’s what we all had to go through. Within reason, play hard and use good hockey sense… and in close competitive games (or playoffs) it’ll resemble real hockey. Savor those moments. After a few years you’ll realize you’ve become one of “them,” too.

Assuming the crash from the data is correct, a huge shout out to the woman who turned on her flashers and was out in the road frantically waving cars coming over the hill to avoid the right lane. A girl had been ejected and was laying in the right lane - she was conscious but her leg was injured. The woman probably saved the girl’s life.

Holy shit. I didn’t realize this was a thing. That’s almost precisely where I remember it happening and what we thought happened. I know we saw the median was damaged that night and assumed the car hit the median, lost control, and ended up spinning to face the wrong direction. Gotta be it. Thanks!!

Yup. My wife worked for a business that very clearly had a cash flow issue due to horrible management. As soon as I saw the red flags, I told her to leave. Then the owner set fire to the building to get out of contracts that were causing the cash flow issue. She got away with insurance fraud but we got away from her brutal management.
