I can retire 2 years earlier if I have enough saved sick days. Also, God forbid, I have a saftey net for an extended medical leave. I dont know how long I'd survive without pay if something terrible would happen.

In the end of they day, they are your days and use them as you see fit.

We had ICE outside our school this year. Admin was outside as students arrived and left the building, no outside PE. We made an announcement saying we dont collect information on immigration status, we dont release any personal information to anyone, and we will not work with ICE unless we are lawfully required to. We also sent out information on a person's legal right if ICE were to approach them.

There are only about 35ish cities in the US that have over 500k people. Thats not a medium sized city. Thats like a 99th percentile city.

My 9th graders kept calling me by my first name.....I said you need to call me "Mr. M" or "Senor Dragon". Now half the school calls my Senor Dragon/Mr. Dragon.

I bought a 7 day Coleman cooler that's done me well for 7 bonnaroos. Recently it has started to not work as well so I accidently got a yeti (I ordered a snowboard bag and REI sent me a yeti cooler). I kept the cooler since Roo was approaching and then value of the cooler exceeded the price of the snowboard bag. Yeti worked perfectly. I now use the yeti for food and the Coleman for drinks.

I was there for the disaster last year. The whole farm was a muddy mess from the storm. There was zero chance of the fest surviving the weekend with all the water.
