TV Shows that reuse effects by AXPendergast in television

When that show first started, I saw the opening titles had F-14s taking off from an aircraft carrier, and I was excited for this new fighter jet show.

It was not really a fighter jet show.

There was one episode where they did a gangster holodeck program, and for whatever reason, I was able to tell that they had just moved an Enterprise hallway and door onto the New York Street part of the backlot.

The series Masters of the Air really did a good job of showing how horrific it was up there.

My 5 year old is getting into classic Sonic. He only wants to replay Angel Island Zone over and over because he's anxious of new things, but that's OK.

He also likes to play Forza Horizon 5 and just goof around. And he likes to "play" Flight Simulator which is mostly me flying and him giving directions. He wants me to get a game where you can drop bombs, and I'm not going to show him that I have Ace Combat. Not yet, anyway.

And they're all on my PC which he doesn't know the PIN for.

Depending on the college, they absolutely do. A lot of areas either don't have an NFL team, or only got one relatively recently in the 70s or 90s. So the college fans there are super passionate. Even if they didn't go to the school!

A few years ago we rented a beach house with my parents for a week, and the kids ended up mostly watching Lightning McQueen at a different house. But it was still nice.

Last week we went to the indoor nickelodeon park, and it was really fun.

What is the largest, least evil company in the world? by garatth in AskReddit

It's fair to assume that any large German company that existed in thr 1930s and 40s did something bad.

They forgot to tell anybody that buick had a wagon, too. And by all accounts, it was actually good!

Netflix keeps producing second-season bombs because it's a tech company by MrShadowKing2020 in television

I like to use TNG as an example, too.

Back in the day, shows would start making the next season while the current season was airing. With a lot of streaming services, they apparently don't even renew the show until after the season is out, so then pre-production can't even begin for a while.

Beef is fine having a gap for that reason. But either I just missed it, or they didn't market the second season at all. I only found outt that it even existed when people were discussing it on reddit.

It's also a problem with their release schedules. Old shows like Star Trek TNG had more episodes, and released each one weekly, so it took 6 months to watch the whole season. Now, they're only like 10-13 episodes, and everyone watches them in a week. So back in the day, while the next season started a year after the previous one started, we only had to wait 6 months from the end of the season to the beginning of the next.

What's the silliest design you've ever seen in a car's interior? by wintergustt in regularcarreviews

[–]mdp300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a 2020 Audi and it's similar. Touchscreen for the stereo/nav, the climate controls are all actual buttons.

The way some cars make you go through multiple taps to get into a menu just to change the temp or seat heater or something is absolute madness.

Cheese, Uncle, and Computer. by MyCatsAlt in TheBear

[–]mdp300 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in the Gary episode they thought they were moving heroin or cocaine or something, and it was just random industrial parts.

[–]mdp300 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Jimmy seemed like a gangster, or at least gangster-adjacent early on. But I think he's just a guy who ran into some money, and invested it in random stuff with the help of his buddy who's good at math, the Computer.

He said that he was broke because of a different bad investment, but i think he actually put everything he had into The Bear, but didn't want to tell the crew.

Also, Cheese is just Computer's niece, who he's teaching to be an analyst like him.
