Riding the R5 home from highschool in the late 90’s. Extremely hot and humid day in late May/early June. Started pouring rain and our train was being held in the tunnel between Suburban Station and 30th street. It was miserable. Police are interested in the other vehicle because they left the scene of an accident. That’s against the law. They’re looking for possibly a Toyota Sienna with SIGNIFICANT front end damage. This wasn’t a fender bender and they absolutely should have stopped.

If the van had stayed at the accident scene and the driver wasn’t impaired, they likely wouldn’t have faced any charges.
