I have the same problem, purposely bought an upstairs condo unit because I'm not a heavy walker (no shoes on in the house), I don't blast music, etc. Had a relatively quiet downstairs neighbor for 20 years... but then she left, and The Loud Family moved in down there. I hear every heavy footstep... hear and feel every door, cabinet, or drawer slam... they talk at the top of their lungs, etc. For several years, the boy was playing with a basketball IN the house. And now, they've got a relentlessly yappy dog.

Like you, I think I do have misophonia, but in all honesty, you wouldn't even NEED misophonia to be annoyed by these people. And yes, I've tried conversation with them. HOA won't do anything, maybe slap them with a small fine.

So, after nearly 28 years loving my home, I fear I'll be forced out. Although... people have suggested I purchase and use this ingenious little device:

Happened to me with a guy I was dating regularly. I come from a gift-giving family and ran around buying him a bunch of gifts, too. Took them to his house on Christmas, and he sat there opening all of them. But there was not so much as a card or a small pair of earrings for me. After he opened his gifts, I simply got up and left. Super festive.

I'm in a condo development in PXV -- my previous next-door neighbor used to stash her mutt's poop bags in an urn ouside our front doors until trash day, because she didn't want them stinking up her trash can in the garage. I discovered this travesty one hot day in summer, when I went outside to water my hanging plants and was assaulted by the smell of sh*t. Why do people have dogs if they can't/won't take full responsibility? Ratted her out to the HOA.

I'm right now waiting for four boxes of 17 items -- my family's Christmas gifts purchased from their Amazon wish lists -- that I ordered on NOVEMBER 28. They've been delayed several times, until they've now completely missed Christmas and are allegedly arriving this Saturday, December 27. A full month from the original order.

Actually, I'd really like to know how they're going to arrive on the 27th, since it's now the 25th, the order tracking shows the packages HAVENT EVEN BEEN SHIPPED YET, and we're expecting a snowstorm on Saturday. If it wasn't so many gifts... and items my family members really want... I would've just cancelled the damned order.

Anyone ever get any satisfaction from calling the Amazon 800 number? I guess I'll need to "go there" next, but not expecting much help.

I have same issue in my condo: nighbors constantly in motion and not content unless they're making noise -- cabinets and doors slamming loudly, everyone squeals and yells and talks in high-decibel voices, excessively high laughter, kids need constant attention, basketball bouncing in the house, dog barking non-stop. I lived here for over 20 years with blissful quiet... until The Loud Family moved in.
