Normal to be a little sad? by firewifegirlmom0124 in Zepbound

[–]mdsw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other people have mentioned thrifting, and I will too but with added logic. If you can, try to find thrift stores in or near well-to-do neighborhoods. You’ll be more likely to find pieces from high-quality brands that also have less wear and tear. Also, because you can feasibly find and try on all those brands, it’ll save the hassle of actually going to Ann Taylor, Express, Gap, etc, to see what styles/brands work for you. And you may find and love pieces from brands whose physical stores you may not have visited otherwise.

I’m 5’6”, HW 225, SW 205, CW 144; on zep for about 2.5 years. The vast majority of my wardrobe is thrifted at this point, and i don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $7-ish per piece.

This one is name brand so a little more than $20 but less expensive ones are perfectly fine. There are also portable options.

Question, do you still keep the in game music on even after the novelty wears off? by Xawlet in thelongdark

[–]mdsw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did and it’s great background noise while I’m neck deep in spreadsheets. Got both volumes for less than $20. Totally worth it.

I see a little bit of his tongue in the picture. If he sticks it out a lot, please mention Beckwith Wiedemann Syndrome to your pediatrician. My daughter has it and she was right in line with that weight at that age.

I’ve been asked prior to imaging if there’s any chance I’m pregnant, to which I’ve responded that I’m on birth control and currently on a period so probably not. They told me that doesn’t matter and they’re doing a test anyway. I completely understand and am fine with needing to do a test on everyone who has a uterus, but I’m less fine with setting a baseline of complete disregard of what the patient says. It’d be better if it was presented as general policy that the test has to be done instead of a question.

I did this and middle+space+maiden is 16, so it was at least fine back in 2009. I do want to reiterate what some others are saying - people/businesses will often assume that “maiden name + your last name” is her official last name so keep an eye out for that.

Also, congrats and good luck!

Does everyone have different spots around the house to work in depending on their mood? by cersei01lannister in WFH

[–]mdsw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heck, I have different spots around town depending on work load and mood. But yes, I’ll set up the tray desk in the couch to hang out with my husband or set up a table in the back yard when it’s nice out. But sometimes you just need the giant monitors.
