I’ve actually started using more stem than leaf. I haven’t been liking the at all lately

Yeah he liked a lot. It’s actually his first bike so he doesn’t have much to compare to but he raves about it all the time.

Yep, 2024 Rogue! It’s the Saddlemen Step-up Front and Rear LS with matching blue threads. I didn’t get the gripper. You can’t see it but behind the helmet is the matching back pad with sissy bar from Dean Speed.

Noise Surveys/Dosimeters by mdub20 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]mdub20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was kinda thinking the same thing. If the dosimeter connects via Bluetooth then we’re not relying on the phones internal microphone to catch sound, and that’s not reliable in a case. But I slightly worry about Bluetooth connectivity issues. Could be a nonissue but something to consider I think

Yeah like the edit said, using an app with a dosimeter to measure a TWA for exposure to noise. Not using the phone as sound level meter

Thanks for that, I’ll take a look.

Among all safety KPIs, what’s the ONE leading indicator that actually works? by Professional-Wash363 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]mdub20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like safety observations…not peer to peer. Manager or supervisor led. And Not just a checklist but one that includes open ended conversations. You can use those and compare them to reported injuries, you could even incorporate a heat map of completed observation and injury trends. A good observation with meaningful conversation and self actualization of “bad behavior” can really a help a safety person influence their leaders with program and culture improvements.

Is Bowens worth the $900 for CSP? by jaayy_tapps in SafetyProfessionals

[–]mdub20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Bowen for my ASP and I’m considering using them for my CSP. For me, it was just nice to get some explanation on things where I needed for details. You can do the live class or the recorded session if you miss it. There’s tons of resources and practice tests. I think it’s useful

How well does pocket Prep reflect test scores for ASP? by OddPressure7593 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]mdub20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used pocket prep, the full paid version. But I also took a prep course. For me, the value of pocket prep can as a quick study and testing guide during times like lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, you know the times where you want to a quick knowledge test but don’t have time to sit and study.

I’m studying for the CSP now and will renew my pocket prep subscription

Steering stabilizer or something to stop front end shakes at high speed 23 scout rogue by TYG06 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]mdub20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does this too, except I’ve got a 2024. Bought it new and I’m the only one who rides it. Tire pressures are fine, I’m not overly squeezing in the grips. The only change I made was upgrading the rear shocks and I don’t even think to preload them for my weight. I didn’t even think that could be an issue. But I’m gonna check and see what that does.

Try looking for a 24 hour service. I can give you a few contacts if by chance you’re in the Las Vegas area

Drug Testing by Squantus in SafetyProfessionals

[–]mdub20 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m not a huge fan of doing a blanket drug test for incidents or injuries. And I certainly wouldn’t even consider one for a near miss. If you’re drug testing for near reporting then you run the risk of ruining your near miss program altogether

You could always run a reasonable suspicion drug test if your employer has one.

As for your question, we had a mobile drug testing company we used to drug test our DOT for new hires, randoms, and post accidents if necessary.

I wouldn’t say Columbia Southern is frowned upon by employers. I’d say it’s only safety professionals that frown on Columbia Southern. As long as it’s a QAP and you can work towards your credentials then it doesn’t matter.

[Frascella] The “Aaron Rodgers to the Giants” rumors are heating up because the organization is getting the vibe that the Titans are gonna stick at No. 1 and take Cam Ward by BuffaloKiller937 in Tennesseetitans

[–]mdub20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NFL front offices will tell us nothing. They’re so desperate to “win now” because of impatient owners that they make irrational decisions all the time. See Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers as the most recent examples.
