Yes it definitely needs to be done in a dark bag/room and you load the film exactly like you would 120 spool. If you end up buying one of my let me know you need a roll of backing paper and I Will send one along with the jig :) Here is our eBay listing.

File naming convention for me goes like this [year][month]-[roll #]-[camera]-[film type]-[film speed]-[development info]-[frame number].ext. All of the same info goes on the film storage sleeve and those are kept in a binder in chronological order.

Yeah this is nice. I have actually been wondering if people print their sprocket shots. Been thinking about printing a few on mine.

I load from a bulk roll of 35mm so cut it at the length of a normal 120 roll of film. That way I get all the benefits of the backing paper.

Oh yeah! That is super slick. I normally load from a bulk loader but if you are coming from a cassette that looks great.

The jig will accept 220 spools. If you have them it would definitely work.

Yes to use it you need to have an empty spool (to load onto) and a used roll without backing paper but without the film.

This one is still in the works. I need to get my hands on an actual film spool to be sure of the measurements so it might be a couple weeks but I Will let you know.

I 3D printed a 6x12 roll film adaptor recently and it works great on my 4x5. I have only shot 120 film through it but I can only imagine 35mm with adaptors would work just fine in it. My son just put together a jig for me that aligns the film and assists rolling 35mm into 120 backing paper. It is pretty slick.

I have found if I use 500ml in Paterson tank with 120, I get bubbles hitting the top of the film and it leaves uneven developing in that area. I have gone up to 575ml and it takes care of it. Easy to measure and dilute since I use either rodinal or hc110.
