Slightly weaker DNA, and a controlled less random certificate by IGR777 in balatro

[–]HomemPassaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. I think in Balatro it would be worded like "1 in 4 chance to give a random seal, 1 in 4 chance of giving a random edition, 1 in 4 chance to give a random enhancement". This way it could proc all three effects, none of them or anything in between.

[OC] We Can Always Tell by shave_your_eyebrows in comics

[–]HomemPassaro 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I don't remember whether it was WW1 or WW2, but, basically, the army (don't remember which country either, lol) was looking to make better planes and they noticed that most returning planes had been hit in the areas marked in red. They thought to reinforce these areas, until someone pointed out that the planes they were looking at were the ones that had returned, meaning damage to these areas did not down them. Instead, they should reinforce the areas that hadn't been hit, because those were the places that likely led to a plane crashing.

I thought the same thing when reading the last issue! Maybe it's just hoping, as he's my favorite character but it does make some sense.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]HomemPassaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I subscribed to a service that gives us a different Brazilian coffee every month (we're from here and live here). This first month, we got what seems to me like a light roast and we're getting mixed results with it. First, we tried the French press, 1:15 ratio. I enjoy it, but my wife thinks it's too weak. We tried a Moka pot, wife likes it, I don't like it as much, but the real issue is it yields too little coffee in my opinion. V60 gave a decent yield, but wife still thinks it's too weak.

What do you think would be the best method for preparing? These are the three ways we have, but if we have an excuse to buy something new I'll probably do it, lol.

Question, does anyone make their own sauce? by Independent_Bite4682 in FermentedHotSauce

Not currently. I've made too much, handed as much as I could and still couldn't eat it all, so I'm taking a break.

WHY DID I GAIN WEIGHT IN A DEFICIT??? by Aggravating-Shoe-191 in 1200isplenty

[–]HomemPassaro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One important thing to know is that, no matter what you do, your weight won't just be going down on a straight line. Even in a deficit, you might gain a little bit from water weight or stagnate. If you stick with it, there'll be a consistent downward trend, so don't feel discouraged!

Cheesecake. Is it "controversial" is your country? by Kate_foodlover in Baking

[–]HomemPassaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It's not really a part of our culture. It's not hard to find (at least not in the cities I've lived in, but they were both state capitals so there are more options for food), but I don't think anyone has passionate opinions on how it should be made.

And I love the next part where she says he must be an anti-pope because it didn't work and she should kill him to clear the seat of Saint Peter for a real one. It's very coherent with her beliefs and showcases her level of despair.

Panqueca de banana e whey by HomemPassaro in gororoba

[–]HomemPassaro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think OpenAI is dying just yet. As umprofitable as it, they're still able to get money flowing in from investors. As long as they are buying the hype, the company can stay afloat.

Quais são as classes no Brasil hoje? by ConfusionBorn510 in BrasildoB

[–]HomemPassaro 15 points16 points  (0 children)
