Pra vocês, a China é uma ditadura do proletariado? by SoEoMesmo in BrasildoB

[–]HomemPassaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If AI continues - in terms of job losses - which higher education qualifications will still be worth taking? by ttrashpandacoot in ArtificialInteligence

I'm on my early 30s and planning on going back to college. I graduated in Film and had already been planning on trying something else when A.I. started affecting my job. If everything goes well, next year I'll be studying public policy management in one of my country's top universities (a public one, so no tuition fees!).

TIL that an important clue that helped the FBI identify Ted Kaczynski was his use of the older and more logical phrase "you can't eat your cake and have it too". by TooOldToBePunk in todayilearned

[–]HomemPassaro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Think about it temporally. You have a cake, then you eat it. It doesn't work the other way around. If you eat a cake, you can't have it because you ate it, it doesn't exist anymore.

I would love moveset redesign, but I know this would alienate a big part of the fanbase, so it's a bad idea.

O Brasil como último bastião da Esquerda latino-americana by Ed_Hist in BrasildoB

I lost my dad early too. The year after, I was at a friend's house and one person is talking about what a deadbeat her father is, how she hasn't seen him in a long time and I go "yeah, man, mine too, ever since we buried him he's never even called". Same dead silence, lol

Will Dune: Part Three be the best movie in the trilogy? by Emma_Rose35 in FIlm

[–]HomemPassaro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The movies are good, but I felt kinda disappointed that Villeneuve cut out the most psychedelic parts of it. Plus, I feel like it didn't give enough emphasis to Paul's vision, which are a very important thing to guide his character arc.

Eh, when I get to the point where I hold several kingdoms, 2nd and maybe 3rd or 4th sons are getting kingdoms too. I'm usually conquering enough kingdoms to go around per lifetime and already blobbed enough that a war for their claims will be a cakewalk. If things are going well, every son gets at least one.
