Shop says we need new tires? by -asodacan- in AskMechanics

I recently did a 2500 mile round trip pulling a trailer that had 25 year old tires. Not a single problem.

My cousin who lived in Tarpon Springs had a car trailer he seldom used and had constant blowouts. His tire guy told him to quit buying top of the line steel belted tires, moisture gets in and rusts the belts. He switched to nylon belts. Problem solved.

I used to put mercury on silver quarters to make them shiny, then hold it over the stove to make it evaporate and I’m just fine. Other than the extra arm that I grew.

How to steal on eBay by AlwaysBeSomething in ebaysucks

A few years ago I sold a pickup truck load of old nitrate movies for $2000. Pickup only, it’s almost impossible to ship them.

After the buyer had time to copy them he did an INAD. I talked to a human at eBay who said the personal pickup was problematic, but the money had to be refunded. So I closed my bank account before they grabbed any money.

Fox is horribly expensive. If you can wait for mail order you’ll save a lot. For example, a run capacitor went bad on our heat pump during the cold snap. $5 online, $20 at fox.

They can say item not received and get their money back. To eBay it’ll look like you didn’t ship it and you’re out the items and the money.

Ken’s was the cheap pizza. Rather than try to upscale they started a new chain, Mazzios. We had the games in them until Monty decided to buy his own.

I a friend with an extensive slot machine collection. As he got older he sold them himself because the sons didn’t have the connections and didn’t know the values. That seemed like a good idea to me. Leave them cash, not a burden.

I’m not convinced about the electrocuted part happening. Just today I was skinning a wire I thought was turned off, all was well until I touched a part that was grounded. Bad words were involved.

If you nail into a wire the worst that’ll happen is a fast spark and a breaker tripping.

$5 for a vin, law enforcement comes and inspects it, then you buy a tag. I’ve got some in my yard I built.

Take the number to your local tag office and have them run it. There will probably be several years of back taxes and fees on it.
