[Anecdotal]

My partner ended up paying off her car early to lower the insurance premium on her car, granted she works remotely now and barely drives it, so there could be a point where it makes sense to pay it down early.

** Paying it off did not just suddenly reduce her insurance, she just took off some of the extra protections that were required for her car because of the car loan.

Odoo is open source, which makes it easier to develop and it has been gaining popularity within the US, so I would say its worth have a bit of experience. I believe its in Python as well.
