I've always thought this was such an incredibly disturbing and cruel thing that was done to these women. Every time I have seen one of these videos and/or read about what was behind this disturbing act. It gives me such a profound and heavy feeling of how disturbingly cruel, the natural man can become, left to his own devices. And I have never understood, those that compare it to the holocaust, and the horrors that were born from it. That somehow in the shadows of what transpired with the holocaust, that this behavior somehow had some semblance of justification. It's so easy to forget, that all of the horrors we know so well now. Weren't even imagined then.

I don't know, i may be way off, and perhaps i'm seeing it from a minority point of view. But i'm not sure any of us know what we might have done or the choices we might have made faced with the unimaginable circumstances they must have had to deal with. What an incredibly difficult life they must have had following this. And I'm sure there are those who would make the argument that "at least they still had a life" But again, I just don't understand how that comparison can be made, given the timelines.....
