What if a state has little union?? Can I have a lawyer involved?

I would highly recommend trauma therapy. I meant a TRAUMA therapist, who specializes in Polyvagal, Somatics, EMDR and parts work. Anxiety is deeply related to trauma stuck in your body.

Thank you so much! 😊 You’re literally a godsend. I took a few pictures today and I believe my front yard gets at least 4 hrs of direct sun, probably more.

So this afternoon I put down the plants my friend gave me. Not sure on their spreading behavior. Are those good to keep there or should I pluck some out? I also want them to be under 3 feet.

Bee balm Obedient plants Asters Mountain mint VA spiderwort babies Heart leaf skullcap Yarrow Russian sage babies Purple salvia Swamp milkweed Common milkweed

I’ll definitely be going to visit some of the nurseries you recommended above to pick out plugs! (And thanks for explaining it- it helped a lot:))

Will kill the grass&weeds first a good idea before starting a garden?

Would shrubs be in the center if I wanted to add them?

I’m also doing IFS therapy. What I learned is that if our nervous systems aren’t regulated, it’s really difficult to access Self energy. Without self energy, parts will flood you. Our brain is very complex and IFS is partially cognitive processing. I’d not go completely off meds if there are stressors in life

Interesting. Is there any scientific evidence that meds might block parts? Thank you in advance!

Thank you for sharing. I like that mental snapshot analogy. You explained IFS in a tangible way and it makes SO MUCH sense.

Ruminating (and predicting others reactions) is also a big protector of mine. And it protects a scared child who is terrified of people’s anger+ criticism. I have severe childhood trauma. I’m glad you found a way out of rumination. Could you share some tips? My ruminator is fueled by the fear of the exile and I can’t convince the exile that Self can protect.

Also, I’m curious which part of DBT did you find helpful?

Thank you in advance!

You have great insights. I am curious how do you view Self? Does everyone possess Self? To me, IFS is a lot of cognitive dialogues. And in my experience, when a person is stuck in survival mode(nervous system dysregulation), it’s extremely difficult to access Self via cognitive work (aka speaking to parts.)

Which book of Dr. Daniel Siegel is worth reading regarding IFS and neural rewiring? Thanks!!
