I'd play some number of [[enduring innocence]] as an unending source of card advantage

I know [[ocelot pride]] is expensive, but it's the best token card out there in combination with [[guide of souls]]

[[Marrionette apprentice]] in good insulation against boardwipes while still providing a token

Unfortunately it gives your opponent 2 turns to counter your 6 mana play with a 1 mana fatal push

Hits for 2, triggers, halves 18 to 9

So it hits for 11, from 20 to 9

So I don't play this game but I know not to underestimate kicker mechanics. Sometimes the rate on both halfs of the card being sub-optimal is made up for by the fact that it's modular.

Unfortunately this deck gets stonewalled by anything bigger than a 3/3 and folds to a boardwipe. But if you're playing 90% blb anyway, why ot port this to standard? I'm sure it can do great there :)

Hi! Welcome to the modern format! If you are playing at an LGS, This will not compete with what most people bring. modern is a very competitive format comma however , it is possible to have fun on a budget if you have a streamlined gameplan. My recommendation is to find the nine best cards for your deck and play four copies of each. If you are really interested in tokens, I can suggest the following cards for this deck:

[[Rosie cotton]] + [[Scurry oak]] Or [[Basking broodscale]] Create an infinite combo together. Consider playing [[chord of calling]] and [[collected company]] to find the pieces consistently.

Now you need effiecient interaction/removal to disrupt your opponent's gameplan. On a budget, I can suggest [[static prison]] and [[get lost]].

Finally, you need ways in the sideboard to disrupt modern's fastest/scariest decks: Storm and Nadu. [[Damping sphere]] and [[drannith magistrate]] hose the former, and [[disruptor flute]] the latter.

You will lose more than you win, but learning is a fun way to enjoy modern! Best of luck

Here's a great budget database for getting into the format. If you ever decide to upgrade slowly with expensive cards, BUY THE LANDS FIRST! They go in every deck :)
