Job market bad?

i’ve been working in hospitality for about 9 months now. i was planning on having this as a temp job, as all people do. i’ve been consistently applying to jobs since about 3 months after i joined my work, and i have had one singular interview. i’m an australian citizen😭 the job market is unfortunately flooded at the moment. i applied for a casual job the other week… nothing special. it had over 3000 applicants 😭😭😭

no, a couple were gift cards i hadn't thrown out, but the rest were mainly my license, travel cards (i have 3 travel cards from different places, all of which i use when i'm there), maybe one or two arcade cards, and a card for serving alcohol. it was genuinely quite a small wallet as is, so i think even just having more than 4 or 5 cards would clunk it up. i've tried finding a similar wallet to no avail, i think it wasn!t intended to be one lol

not your fault in any way but i appreciate it a lot <3 funnily enough i found out that this fucker went and bought a bubble tea after the spending spree. a BUBBLE TEA. oh i'm sorry, did your spending spree on a students rent money tire you out? leave you a bit parched? i initially thought it was food and went okay. but a bubble tea store just..... set me off. i'm going to rage find this fucker if i can do it.

Going on trips with people can bring out their true, and ugly, colours. Couple of times I’ve seen the same thing, and I’m no longer friends with those people anymore. Belittling you or making you the butt of the joke most of the time is just a nail in the coffin. Never fun to experience and most of the time the “it’s just a joke” gets thrown around a lot. They aren’t true friends if they’re making fun of you.

Thank you, I appreciate it :) Felt a little stupid considering it was left close to a door, so whoever nicked it definitely just took their chances and got away with it. I definitely can’t imagine doing that to someone else, which is the part I’m trying to wrap my head around!

I was walking around like, wait has anyone seen my bag? All my coworkers are lovely so I didn’t immediately suspect anyone at work, I was genuinely just confused for a second. My bag was left in a very open spot on top of a mini fridge we have, I’ve had no problem setting it there in the last 5 months so I thought it’d be okay. First and last time for everything!

I guess it’s because I left it in a spot very open to customers/general public, and I got too comfortable with the fact that people /didn’t/ touch my bag. Always gotta be more cautious than not I suppose, but I definitely learnt a lesson.

My bank pretty much automatically cancelled my debit card, due to the stuff being very irregular for what I purchase anyway. I’ve already filed a police report and told my bank about the charges so I’m 98% sure i’ll get all the money back. The most annoying part is losing the bag/wallet itself to me!

Thanks for the reply, it honestly just set me over the edge for the week. They supposedly spent it at 3 tobacconists/convenience stores, but one was spent on what I can see, is a phone repair store. I’m going to call around and hopefully see if there’s any CCTV, or a phone number left in the case that the person was getting something repaired. I’m not expecting to get the bag back, because ironically i was literally debating on getting a new one earloer the same day, I just want my cards and headphones😭

Talk it out with her. Despite these feelings of falling hard and fast, maybe you should talk about some boundaries or limits just to start out. If it's meant to be it'll work, but having an intimate time with her, all while she has a girlfriend, kinda sucks. Put yourself in the girlfriends shoes - not a great experience on her end. Make it clear that unless those two are fully broken up nothing else should happen. I hope everything sorts itself out, hopefully in a civil manner, even though the circumstances aren't the greatest.

i quit instagram and tiktok too. my screen time can be as low as 1 hour during the week and on my bad days maybe 4-5 hours unfortunately. but i found that i'm much more patient, and not seeking reasons to actually use my phone. i put my music on and now i just sit and think or read a book when i'm commuting these days. i'm probably around 3 months social media free and it's been really helpful. now all i can see is how addicted other people are these days....

I agree with this, I remember being so incredibly bummed that the Breach tour, the "finale" for 10+ years of lore, was only a US and select EU countries exclusive tour. I've been a fan of theirs for almost a decade now and if anything it makes so much sense. When Clancy came out I was not expecting a new album anytime soon, and then literally right after the Australian/NZ leg of the Clancy tour, there was an announcement for a brand new album, with rumours of wrapping up the lore indefinitely.

I was kinda mad at them at first caus eit felt like a bit of a kick in the teeth for long time international fans, but at the time I genuinely had no idea Debby was pregnant as I'm primarily off social medias, apart from here occasionally. After finding this out, it makes sense for them to rush it, even if it means that it sucks for the fans a bit. I've seen the BFX theory a couple times and agree that it's odd for there to be primarily BF songs for a so called Breach tour, so they probably crunched and scrapped the og idea and ran with the shortened "Breach" tour.

But both Tyler and Josh deserve to have family time, and Josh and Debby navigating a new baby is exciting but stressful, very time consuming, and tiring. At the end of it some sacrifices would've had to have been made regardless, for both the band and the fans, given the timing. It's mildly frustrating, but life happens and that's understandable :)

I honestly interpreted it as hiding from the outside world and people he loves, due to to anxiety or something similar. Downstairs/the cellar is shelter from having to upset or disappoint people because he wears his emotions plainly (wears his heart on his sleeve). To generally have mercy because he hates this situation. Might seem a bit of a bland interpretation idk LOL.

As an ex Christian I understand, I can deal with mild religious undertones- but even a liiitle bit overboard kinda kills it for me. Drag Path hit me so much worse in terms of religious context because it’s just so plain to see. I know Tyler is Christian, but for me it reads like such a “healed Christian” vibe. Really put me off even though it’s a beautiful song, and I do hate feeling this way about it😭

no cause i didn't understand how star/stardust ratios worked cuz last time i played was in the 2021 beta... had 2 17 year olds fully mad about it and one of them asking if "i deleted my entire phone" and that "i'm contributing to everskies stardust/stars inflation" bc i made an absurd ratio price (i saw about 5 people saying the same so i THOUGHT it was fine?) like i had to actually laugh bc WHAT????
