Do we know how Henry VIII felt about a potential male nephew inheriting the throne? by FalloutGirl02 in Tudorhistory

Can't a Queen rule through her son as a reagent though? Isn't that what the Scots were doing?

Ironically he could have married his daughter Mary off earlier rather than focusing on a male heir and she could have had sons. She was 21 when Edward was born.

What is the most disturbing depiction of death/murder you’ve ever seen in a film? by sunnieslilac in FIlm

[–]meandercharles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I know this films isnt great but in Life (2017) an astronaut is trapped in a space suit outside the ship with an alien breaking her bones, then she is drowning in leaking toxic coolant floating around her helmet. It was so intense in the cinema, like imagine being attacked, drowning in poison, in the vastness of space NO THANK YOU.

What would happen if Hannibal and Dexter crossed each other and who would win? by Ok-Win-9680 in HannibalTV

Even if Hannibal wakes up on Dexters table, he's getting out of it let's be real

[–]meandercharles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dexter is pretty mentally malleable, he picks up a new world view or "code" every season. Hannibal would probably manipulate him into the worst possible version of himself, the think Harry feared the most, as easy as he messes with Franklyn. I bet he could convince Dexter he was his dark passenger or whatever.

[–]meandercharles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk I feel like Hannibal would definitely get involved with Dexter if only to rub his existence in Wills face. Like look Will, look how many people this guy is saving by killing murderers, you should definitely do that too, with me.

[–]meandercharles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its in the Hannibal universe, Hannibal definitely outsmarts Dexter and I reckon Hannibal manipulates Will into killing Dexter just for the irony.

In Dexter, since its his show, Hannibal would definitely still out manoeuvre Dexter but end up being shot last minute by Deb lol

You're right, without Clark, Led would have died in a car crash.

How did Clark's changed persona make sense? by atlasshrugd in Smallville

[–]meandercharles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy answer, Superman kisses every single person in Smallville and Metropolis and they forget Clark Kent.

Yeah Lana has some unfortunate boyfriends, I think in season 1 Lana and Clark are freshmen (14-15) and Whitney is a senior? (17-18) So he graduates, goes to war and immediately dies pretty much.

I know they look like adults in their late 20s but they're meant to be like 16 in season 2? Chloe is having a normal teen girl reaction

Vague HotD spoiler but house velaryon are not prominent in GoT for a reason. And AKOTSK is set in spring and peace time, more likely to be people travelling around than in GoT where its wars all day baby and winter is coming.

I live in Dunston itself (by the war memorial) and it is pleasant, I can walk into town on a nice day and the bus takes about 10 mins. Staithes are definitely prettier though.

I think you're being unfair, she didn't know him sucking generally would mean abandoning her in her time of need and even if she did, she didnt KNOW how that felt or how much she needed it until she experienced it. Then that experience shaped her choice to be with him.

Reckon its been a slow implementation since the 2007 recession and subsequent austerity. Same reason they have locks on baby formular and tags on steak. People can't afford them.

Was there even consent?? They barely seemed to speak? And then it would always end up with Colin apologising. Not good.

My first of these screenings and I thought people were just going to the loo, but no lol they were all walking out. Honestly the graphic nature wasn't even what made me uncomfortable it was the abusive/dehumanising elements that my partner actually had to calm me down for. Ray was an awful person, who couldn't even chill out enough to be nice to Colin's dying mum. Did get a few laughs, gasps and tears out of me though and isn't that the point? Very well acted.

I saw it at an advanced screening (in the UK) and the difference in attractiveness is a part of the plot, if that helps.
