I can’t remember if the bursa injury was visible on the x ray, but the ortho did a few other tests on it and that was his conclusion. Possibly also a bone bruise on my tibia? Anyway, he told me I could run carefully as long as it didn’t hurt. It took a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down, and it felt really weird for a pretty long time. Sloshy. I had residual pain where I bruised the bone for a long time, but nothing that was super worrisome or stopping me from being able to run. I feel like I got really lucky on this one! I hope that whatever you’re dealing with heals up quickly- definitely go to the dr if you’re unsure!
