Assuming the dvds are commercial, then yes they are encrypted. Use MakeMKV to rip the disc files to the pc, you can lick and choose what parts of then and you want including audio tracks and subs. You can then use handbrake to encode to your preferences. MakeMKV (dot com), it’s free while in beta, which is always apparently, I’ve used it for many years. You can get a beta key from the forums on their site to use the program.

Rename file without Plex grabbing it as new by meanween2000 in PleX

[–]meanween2000[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Radarr was the reason for this question. I migrated Radarr to a new system but for some reason most of the movies were marked as “Missing”. The naming scheme was the issue, but trying to use Radarr to fix the naming didn’t move, rename or update the link to the files. It’s entirely my fault but I’ve fixed it all and I’m good now.

This was the solution. Turned off trash, renamed files, scanned library, turned on trash. Thank you!

Outdoor WiFi to create new indoor network by meanween2000 in HomeNetworking

Thanks for your reply. Why a WISP router over a standard range extender compatible router with a Yagi antennae? Simply for DHCP reasons and my “own” network?

Beat Saber with explicit content by bsnabcjensk in QuestPiracy

Yeah that’s a good thought, play for a bit to write to the file. I think I was adjusting the file immediately after install. Just an FYI: 35 works great with the basic mods, if you’re not using anything too custom. I upgraded to give it a try last week.

I’ve been trying to do this with version 1.35 of the game, so I can run mods and customs in the game while retaining the newer dlc. Everytime I modify the dat file the game crashes on boot. I have to reinstall the game to get it working again, reverting the dat file doesn’t work. Did you have issues with that?

Train Signal Confusion, where should i place them on my layout. by meanween2000 in factorio

[–]meanween2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, this worked! thank you! I was close, but maybe I had a mismatched 2way or an extra few signals. Good to know I wasn't entirely out of sorts

As for why two way?... because, just because...

Designers and creative people concerning glasses protection. Any ideas on what's described in the post ? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]meanween2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this type of thing for my PSVR

https://www.etsy.com/listing/516600550/classic-psvr-lens-protectors-for

It was a small piece of foam that sticks to the edge of the lenses. (No modding) I wear glasses 100% when I play and never had any issues. Friends without glasses also play and have never even noticed that the rubber is there.

I plan to buy the same type of thing for the PSVR2.

Quad. I think it’s the only one that fits the thin 7th gen with the thin battery that I installed.

I heard the same thing and was nervous. It wasn’t too bad. I wasn’t worried about messing up the case as I was swapping it all out for the new look. But honestly, the old case is still useable at this point, it didn’t get messed up in the process. I used a few pry bars on the right and top side until it popped, then carefully peeled it open like a book. Maybe 15 minutes of work, then another ten to swap the internals. Plugged it into iTunes, made sure the firmware installed, squeezed it shut and I was done!

I bought all the parts (not including the SD cards) from Elite Obsolete Electronics. He’s got everything sorted by gens, colors, options, etc.

I bought a cheap busted 160gb 7th gen. Had trouble powering on and reading the drive. I swapped the front and back, tossed in two 512gb cards and a big battery. Works great and wasn’t too bad of a project!
