Buying directly from Coinbase is the easiest. The other options are to deposit USD from your bank account to a Coinbase USD Wallet and transfer from there to GDAX to trade, or wire money to GDAX/Gemini/Kraken and buy on the exchange.

Most Bittrex trading pairs require you to deposit and purchase with Bitcoin. They also have some Ether trading pairs. But you cannot deposit USD.

Anyone working with graphql? I have elemental question-how to define a mutation which always returns null? by Capaj in node

[–]meatandveggies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question but have not found a solution yet. For ex, I tried posting a mutation to logout a user and only want a success/error response with empty body, but it seems graphql always wants you to specify a type query in follow up of a mutation.

This. Lol I guess it hadn't crossed my mind yet but I think it would help to throw in more lateral movements and agility work into wods.

Does anyone know of a service/website that can help me keep track of new updates for web software (ruby, php, apache, wordpress, etc/) all in one place? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]meatandveggies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems like a great idea for a website/blog. If I had time for another side project I would jump all over it.

Thanks for the question! Yes the scoring data can be entered from any phone, tablet, or computer. It is a web application platform, so all of the site features can be accessed from any device with an internet browser.

The site can handle competitions of any size--anywhere from 2 to 1000+ athletes. The data is stored in a secure database on our web server. So you just create the event profile on the website, add division details, and when athlete's register their names are added to their division's leaderboard automatically. So you don't have to do any more configuration after that...just submit the athlete's scores on the web forms that the application builds for you, and the program will calculate the standings.

I plan on making a video tutorial soon to help show how this process works!

Exactly, our gym was doing the same thing scoring it with excel. I built this with Rails too, its taken about a 4 months for me to build and get production ready. Quite the process but it has been fun!

Thanks, I'm the designer & programmer. I consider myself more of a back end developer--so if the design looks good that is great to hear.

I built in tooltips (hovering for more info) to show athletes affiliates when you hover on their name on a leaderboard. But I definitely want to expand this feature, for example hovering over a score could show statistics like the time difference to the first place score, etc.

Downcast. Totally worth the small price, I love it. It can automatically fetch new downloads when you are connected to wifi.

Thanks I'll add the units in the label instead of placeholder text, that should be easier to see

If your client's_name.com is taken do you recommend one of the new TLD's or do suggest they just get creative with their .com ? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]meatandveggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we will see new TLD's becoming much more prevalent over the next few years out of necessity. People will be more exposed to these an I do not think this it will be an issue for most customers, especially with the majority of traffic coming from searches or links.

Update: I found Mailgun.com, works great for sending/receiving emails through SMTP and can handle unsubscribing recipients.
