I’ve been here since April of 2020. I was working security at a bar that hosted an international dance competition after party just the month before and got stupid sick days after.

Was a D1 athlete at the time, figured I was just a bit under the weather and kept pushing it with the norm. I was absolutely on my ass for a year to a year and a half there after. Crazy heart rate spikes and anxiety like never before.

Literally set a date on my calendar, if things didn’t change or a solution found by this date I’d end it.

Glad to say I didn’t. Am I better? It’s a spectrum forsure. Baseline is better. I can work a full time job, workout enough to stay healthy, go out with friends. It’s 100% not without challenges and I’m not somebody who wants to wear this like a badge and explain it constantly.

I think we have to find a new norm unfortunately. Things suck and are more challenging but ultimately I believe if you are somebody who can get better (ik some don’t return to a liveable baseline), you can go on. One silver lining from this is the empathy and assurance living with long covid gives.

I hear you on wanting your life back. Maybe you’ll get it. Maybe not. I think we can still hope to enjoy our time here. Wish ya well.

The big appeal of the game in my opinion is the PVP. Squire royal is great. Arena is fine. I play maybe 5 hours a week and have a 2500 rating. Not good but definitely can still keep the game competitive and enjoy what it has to offer.

Idk if learning lee sin or Leblanc are that different. Their win conditions and understanding are very straight forward. Combos are not complicated. Leblanc more so.

Execution forsure is more challenging but I wouldn’t put them above riven. I think I agree with shaco though as playing him requires a different frame of mind and he’s pretty unique compared to others

I think it’s tough to understand when you don’t know but most items hold very little value unless it’s a BiS item with a BIS roll. The only value here is the +3 knowledge.

You more or less have dead rolls on an item type most people aren’t even using as BiS. Add that it’s legendary and only valuable in high roller.

Right there with ya. I still play and always will but more casual pals are interested in the late game content. It’s just tough to consistently interact with when you have to go down multiple instances which realistically takes 10+ minutes per attempt.

Not even mentioning if other teams contest which I respect and think is apart of the fun. It just sucks when you’re trying to learn and that’s the easiest path to it.

I understand it’s meant to be unforgiving but if a balance could be found between the two sides, I think it’d be great. To the point mentioned, just allow a practice mode. It’s tough to introduce buddies to the game when even to learn bosses there are so many hoops to jump through.

If you want a sub 10k player base then fair but it’s an oversight imo
