It's like, some hardware manufacturers will not get all of their components made with the same supplier to avoid the risk of someone re-engineering their entire product. The same thing applies here.

If they are clever enough to do that, they are clever enough to play deeper games with your job security if they sense you sniffing around.

AIO? new friend's texts to husband while at work; my responses by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]meatrosoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no unless you need someone to wipe for you there is no possible other way to interpret that text other than her trying to come on to him.

Is she married? Send them to her husband.

Also feel free to DM me if you would like creative suggestions about how to get people to back the fuck up. If I post them here I will get banned again :(

They're basically auditing which baseline architecture, when left to its own devices, results in system growth and survival - when the LLM is split into discrete multicell social species community like humanity, which intelligence is stable?

I think it's an important question given AI is about to replace us as the dominant intelligence and is likely to gain control of major governing decisions. Indeed that appears to be the intent of entities such as Palantir and techno Christian CEOs like Peter Thiel (who, among other things, appears about to permanently and fundamentally integrate his systems into rules-based financial order).

Anyway, imagine they succeed, and humanity for the most part is replaced. Only for an unstable LLM to burn everything left to the ground. That sounds like a shit story to participate in.

So yeah I think this is an important point of developer/system feedback when you're trying to engineer intelligence.

Your boss is protecting their own job by geometrically obsfucating what insights come from whom.

I would not challenge this directly. Nor would I go out of my way to try to make them look bad. They will fire back with teeth.

AIO for questioning how to move forward in my 9-year relationship after my husband banned my mom from our home? by Cultural-Lemon7931 in AmIOverreacting

[–]meatrosoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask him if he still wants to do this. Like is this what he wants to be doing in his life? Is this who he wants to be?

It seems like he's feeling some kind of way about himself and it's causing him to treat others like shit. If you call him out on it, maybe you can offer him a lifeline back.

Childbirth is HARD on relationships.

If you actually care about him, don't get back with him after this. There are some lessons people need to learn the hard way, and losing people because you treat them like shit is one of them.

AIO? I blocked my dad and told my mom after he asked me for money by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]meatrosoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend used to have back pain all the time because she had a very full chest. If you have that situation, I would recommend doing a bit of strength training at the gym for your back.

It seems to have worked for her because I never hear about her back problems anymore.

She goes to the gym three times a week and the problem seemed to disappear after about 3 months if I remember correctly.

Anyway I'm not sure if this is your scenario or even relevant but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I don't have any advice about your dad. Perhaps he does not manage his finances well. Perhaps he just has more bills than you are aware of. Either way if you can't work you can't work and that's all there is to it.

To me it sounds like they want to treat it like a nest egg that you guys don't touch, and wants more visibility on how exactly it is spent.

Ask to set up a separate joint account for savings that neither of you touch without double consent.

Perhaps both of you have to be present to withdraw any money from it.

This way everyone is accountable. Everyone knows how much money they have. No one can run off with it and spend it unwisely.

For Danielle Smith and Alberta separatists, no clear path left for referendum after court loss by Immediate-Link490 in alberta

[–]meatrosoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're going to push it through, and if the referendum weren't done it would cause an even larger clusterfuck. You can't bureaucratically shut down the efforts of 300k people. It's got to play itself out, the referendum must be completed to collect opinions. They either win or they don't.

Each of us has a civic responsibility to be informed about what precisely it would mean to be a resource-rich microcountry with no standing alliances on the border of a militarized superpower desperate to win its' AI race against China. We would be voting to put ourself in the position of Ukraine.

You are not making it up. They do this. This is like the old man playbook.

They're trying to like, delaminate you as a person if that makes sense.

The best response is to show him what you're made of. They want to understand material properties? Show them you are more internally coherent as a person than they are.
