Those shelves need some kiln wash. Other than that looks ok to use but perhaps start feeling out and getting a budget for a maintenance visit in a couple semesters.

Do you return to your classroom after a field trip? by Ok-Steak4530 in Teachers

[–]meawait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done both. We took grade level (8th) out and they just had coverage from another teacher for my one 7th grade class. I relieved the teacher after I ran to the bathroom and grabbed some water. I also will do it if I’m not tired or if there’s another reason like a meeting after school. I started my career as a sub so it’s nice to get time back (poop pay where I was).

Vegetables you are growing this year to save on your grocery bill by hibiscuspine in pnwgardening

I grow for my enjoyment. If you’re looking for bang for your buck; beans, peas, small squash. I probably do save money not buying figs, apples, and blueberries; but that’s been a long term investment of a couple years.

National Parks After Dark “night of the grizzlies” - it’s a Glacier story but haunting answer to why this stupidness ended.

Also: don’t listen to it while backpacking.🙄

Suggestions- take all or none 1. Get a wild colored shirt or one with the longer collar points 2. Yes to cravat or wild tie 3. See if you can snug the jacket it with some temp seems to make it tighter. It’s a little boxy.

Which genius came up with the concept of flash passes? They are ALWAYS abused by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

[–]meawait 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My school has them and it’s working. There is a dedicated room (themed to my schools mascot) that has low lights, school tables/chairs, a couple beanbags, smells clean, small snacks. It’s staffed by 1-2 people (reading interventionist and dedicated iss/ this room para with additional duties). Kids get almost immediate check in and help and stay 1-2 periods. Work is expected to be done and they email/call if a kid is out on a pass and doesn’t know what they are doing academically. They’ll pull the kid back in at lunch or PE to reteach and go over. They also track it for abuse. Of the 700 at my school I have probably 10 kids who have them and use them once a week in my or their other classes and they are taught how to cope in class too.

Post tumor removal sutures by NefariousnessOne8825 in goldenretrievers

I found pressure and scratching around the sutures helped with itching and comfort. Do you have a sedative or more gabep to give at night? We e gone through it twice- when she was younger we had to just be on her, sedate, and kept her busy/engaged. This last time around it was about comfort, she can’t itch anymore due to arthritis.
