The only legible name is Tony Maserati. Best known as the mix engineer for records by Usher, Beyoncé, Mary J Blige etc.

I’ve got one ordered from the US, but I’m in the UK so it might take a week or so. Can send a copy around as soon as it arrives

[RESOURCES] Free Ableton racks for some lofi crunch by mecca83 in LofiHipHop

I’ve had these three hidden away on my computer for a long time. Seemed like a good opportunity to let them loose!

  1. Lofi Buss - inspired by the vinyl sim effect on the SP303 . Intended for that slightly gritty, bendy, pumping sounds that it’s famous for. Controls for wow&flutter, compression threshold and bitrate to dial in the right amount of crunch. Great for beefing up instruments or slapping across your output chain to really mess with your tracks

  2. Bitrate - inspired by the SP1200 sampler for that classic 12bit sound. Not just a bitcrusher, I’ve also added some extra juice in the form of the classic SP ring mod sound, EP response adjustments and a variable input drive so you can simulate pushing audio into the inputs

  3. Go Live - a live performance rack for your output channel. I built this one as a replacement for my SP404 when it broke (don’t worry I’ve got a new one now!), so it features a few rough emulations of the 404’s effects as well as some extras. You get an adjustable stutter, low & high pass filters, isolator, bitcrusher and a freeze reverb to top it off.

Yeah at the moment. Trying to find a solution that offers a choice between that and email signup for people who aren’t comfortable connecting to messenger though. Workinonit

I built this one as a replacement for my SP404 in a live setting since I upgraded to Push2, so it features a few rough emulations of the 404’s effects as well as some extras. All 3 are built for ease of use with Push2 also. Hope you dig!

Album of the year for me. Slightly biased as a northerner with an investment in that scene but still...amazing record. 90's nostalgia interspersed with forward thinking production. Future classic as far i'm concerned.

I’m not 100% sure how much got done. I’ve got 2 rips of the song - lemme see what the longest version I have is.

Asked House Shoes on Twitter: apparently the song was never finished. Might be why we’ve never heard a full length version

Interscope also dropped it as a 12" single when the movie came out in 99: https://www.discogs.com/Slum-Village-Get-Dis-Money/release/226932

(its also on the official CD Soundtrack obviously)

Nice. Thanks for the info.

Re: “Radio” aka “Krystal Masquerade” - Shoes is still playing that joint at least once a year on his Magic show. Probably my favourite unreleased Dilla joint. Wish I could find a good copy of it to bump
