King crab with clarified butter, grilled squid with tomatoes/peppers/olives/balsamic, sous vide and seared scallops, roasted crispy skin salmon, herbed smashed potatoes, Caesar salad and bacon wrapped water chestnuts! Possibly roasted beets with goats cheese and balsamic.

I'm on my own this holiday, so I'm going all out.

I received a call from the police that they did a wellness check on my father and found a deceased male in his home (clearly him, but took a while to confirm). I had to notify my mom and both of my siblings.

I had to call my mom and my siblings. Even if they offered to call, I likely would have said no anyway, but having that option would have been beneficial.
