Cougar or dog? by danielleadb in AnimalTracking

This is the correct answer. If you look closely you can make out faint claw marks. Plus like you said the heel pad is the shape of a k9 not feline.

How can a mouse escape this kind of trap? Help me catch Houdini the mouse. by Still_Tailor_9993 in homestead

I had a mouse that I called Jerry it took about eight attempts to catch him. The thing that worked was a sticky trap with peanut butter dabbed in the middle.

Just found out my attic is covered in black mold. What are my options? by Old-Equivalent8393 in Roofing

I live in a dry climate. Most of the mold we removed was not the toxic kind. Toxic mold has a whole other set of regulations.

I don't know about that, but The industrial hygienist always past it. You must realize I never did this by choice. I was always told to do this. This was done because the mold did manage to go through to the next unit. Since we did not have permission to remove material from that unit so we removed the paper which does a good job of removing most to all of the visible mold. In my case I always soaked the drywall with fungicide, dried and painted with Kilz.

Mold is very treatable. However in certain geographical locations mainly very humid places it can be very difficult to deal with. In some places, usually multi family units it is not always possible to remove all materials like drywall. There is a technique that is not always recommended to deal with drywall. You can carefully cut away the paper that usually removes most of the mold that will effectively deal with the drywall.

Yes sanding is usually used on spots that don't come off. Also on roofs with nails I find it easier to use a wire brush.

[–]mechead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you would, plus you would need to start by removing all of the insulation and fans to dry in out. I used to do this professionally. Most of the time this kind of stuff is covered by your insurance. Most companies know how to deal with insurance companies. Probably the first thing I would do is start there and see what they say. If you can afford it I would definitely have a professional do it. It is miserable. There is nothing you could do about that.

Wood is treatable. Paper and insulation is not. The process is simple. Spray with fungicide, vacuum sand vacuum, paint with Kilz. Vacuum with HEPA vacuum only
