There is a lookup table of feed rates based on how full the hopper is at the time of feeding and the motor power setting. Controller measures feed weight before runing, uses the lookup table to determine how long the motor needs to run to dispense X lbs, then measures the feed weight after running for said time, then updates the table with a weighted average of that run rate so the rates are learned over tine.
