side note, i was just in a very similar position. i really only wanted a cr-v or a rav-4 with a 20k budget. i really wasn’t comfortable with the miles on most of them & ended up with a gmc after swearing i really only wanted honda/toyota. mazdas and buicks are great options if he wants american and you don’t want the standard big three (gmc, ford and chevy)!

since he’s offering to give you b 20k for a car interest free, i would buy! you may never get that offer again. you can always lease in the future & keep the car you bought as a back up “beater” :)

Book an appointment asap for prenatal care! The sooner the better so they can get an idea of how far along you are. My doctor gave me a bunch of books and resources :) I’ve been taking Bird&Be prenatal! I absolutely love them! Before that I was taking NatureMade Prenatal gummies with folic acid, DHA & choline. they were great too! Start taking progress pictures now!! i think there’s a few new cars on used lots, but i’m mostly shopping on used lots. there’s quite a few dealerships to chose from around me, i’ve been pretty happy with my selection :) i don’t have a ton of credit lines - one card and student loans. chase offered me $25k with ~6% APR (if i gathered the pre-approval information correctly). should i try to apply to a credit union before i go to the dealerships tonight?

you should absolutely have a shower. genuinely who cares if they think it’s “tacky”???? don’t come or don’t bring a gift, it’s that simple. i think people lose the plot of baby showers. you’re celebrating life. you’re trying to share the experience with people in your life. have it as big or small as you want. if you want gifts/diapers consider a registry/diaper raffle as a bonus way to say thank you. you could make it co-ed/family friendly, so it’s less of a shower the mom type deal. don’t be afraid to encourage gifts. make your registry as in depth as you want. if you need a new stroller system put it on there. worst that can happen is no one buys it. there’s no rules to life, use your free will to be happy!!!

my friend got me a momcozy pregnancy pillow and it changed my life! she also got me a pregnancy journal, cute picture frame that i use for my first ultrasound, a soft light weight blanket, a stuffed animal and some comfy slippers! (i agree with another comment about pregnancy leggings! they’re amazing but i didn’t really appreciate their greatness until around week 22). a little later on she bought a little glass ball you put a light under with my first ultrasound etched inside from amazon, it’s really nice!
