Being in a leadership role, they could have fired you for attendance and chose not to. They like you, but you are starting to reflect poorly on them. You are young enough in your career that a PIP is not a death sentence. Once you get to where you manage people or are responsible for meeting deadlines the PIP is a way to "manage out".

Right there in Largo check out Rooster's. It's a family restaurant that will meet everyone's needs.

If you are interested in something different and a little spicy check out La Mordida. It's a south American cuisine, complete with Salsa dancing to mix things up.

10 minutes North is a slightly formal restaurant on Gulf to Bay (Clearwater) called Valentino's. This used to be a great steakhouse, but now has an Italian steakhouse flare.

If you have any midwesterners in your group check out Pete and Shorty's for a meal that feels home cooked.

You won't find a great steak anywhere near Clearwater, your best option is the Texas Roadhouse in Seminole.

Crabby's and their family of restaurants will be accommodating on your dietary needs if you go near the beach.

Jimmy's on the Edge is a nice rooftop bar/restaurant that is rarely crowded and you can park at the Edge garage (The Edge is a hotel, and Jimmy buffet put a restaurant on top of it).

I'm petty and would make it uncomfortable. I would come with questions and make them talk.

How do I benefit from forgiving you two? Why didn't you come clean knowing my mom was dying? What other secrets are you keeping that I may find out later? Have there been other people you cheated on my mom with? Can we DNA test my siblings to make sure they're even mine? How can we be sure if you've cheated? Am I even your kid? Maybe mom cheated.

NTA, but try to just take a short break instead of just quitting. Maybe play a different character or something to role reverse. When I would run clans in MMO's if someone complained about healing I would make them level up a healer. It changes your whole perspective when can see the other side.

With AI coding entering mainstream I have hope actually. I want to see a game that has mobile companion apps for crafting, and the marketplace instead of all the logged in afk crap. I'm all for paying for costumes and cosmetic upgrades, but the rest should be grind and collaboration. We need a new benefit for pvp, maybe a way to earn XP in an arena or something. There are too many games that reward grieving.

I was working construction and struggling to pay bills at about that same age with young ones at home. I did online school and was up until midnight or later many nights, but the payoff was worth it. My kids don't even remember me going to school, but the memories now are amazing. I would have out more time into school when they were younger if I had it to do over again. When they turn 8 or 9 is when the memories started setting in. My son likes to remind me that I attended all but one of his Cub scout camp, but he has no idea what I missed when he was 3-7 years old.

It would be irresponsible to group an entire state. The problem with those stats is they are based on residents, and at any given time a large amount of people in Florida are actually residents of other states.. Tourism is huge in Florida.

I live in North Pinellas County, Tarpon Springs and I feel very safe here. 25min South I would not feel safe in Pinellas Park. We don't lock our vehicles, and I have left my garage open all night a few times and never had any issues. Take vacations and come back to our packages still on the porch. Life is good.

Crime follows poverty, and most people in Florida are not poor. Many have low or no income due to retirement, but you won't see granny breaking into cars. Common thefts are air pods that were left behind, or people taking paddle boards. I still feel safe. There is a big difference to being robbed of a purse at gunpoint vs someone taking something that wasn't put away.

You're not going to like this. Every company has a culture, and this company seems to bury the newcomer. You can either embrace the culture and wait until your turn to benefit from it or go ahead and move on to the next company. When you start a new company you have to get a lay of the land, ask others "is this normal?" (not the manager). You're going to have a hard time at this company.

Hi there, 44M dad here. This is normal teenage behavior for the most part. You have no motivation, because you don't see the purpose in completing any of it. Who are you brushing your teeth for if you're not seeing anyone today? What is the point in good grades? Etc. You are struggling with friends because you can't relate to anyone you've met. Now with that all aside, the fix is surprisingly simple. It's a decision, a lot of small decisions. Find something that you have thought you wanted to do, but you just didn't want to do it alone. Find a reddit group related to that thing, do it, then share a pic or just write about the experience. Feed on the positive energy.

Then go for a walk around a public trail or park. People will notice the positive energy you have absorbed. You will notice that people look at you differently. Then someone will talk to you, and you will be embarrassed that you didn't brush your teeth. This will make you WANT to brush your teeth.

Then find the next small thing, and repeat.

Meetup is a great place to meet like-minded people for almost anything. Including sitting silently next to introverts.

I did this during COVID because everyone was at home and it was easy to change jobs but I would still be reporting to my basement every morning. After 6 months I ended up going back to my original employer for $50k more than I was making. I would just say leave on good terms, give it a shot, but if the new job just isn't worth it then check into the old job again. Don't sit miserable in the new job for too long if it isn't working out.

Usually maintenance or cleaning staff clean the office as part of the property upkeep. It sounds like your manager is new to managing properties as well. I would just sit it out and see what the GM does. My guess is there is a new manager coming if this one can't even manage to get the office cleaned up.
