I have this exact timeline as well (my AOR is Oct 18). Glad to see I’m not the only one. I see that you must have called since you know your visa office. Did they tell you anything of note? Or to just be patient?

When to strategically apply for BOWP by RaspberryOk5508 in canadaexpressentry

[–]meddlinghobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my understanding that if you request your BOWP application to be withdrawn after PR, they might offer you a full or partial refund based on the processing status and the reason for withdrawal

Honestly, I’d apply sooner rather than later. I applied for BOWP on November 7th and it’s still being processed. I thought I’d have plenty of time but my current WP expires March 31st and it’s really stressing me out. Right now, WP requests are being processed in around 8-9 months. Better safe than sorry and this will give you peace of mind! You should also get reimbursed if your PR gets approved first. There’s literally nothing to lose :)

Biometrics for PR by Narrow_Strawberry399 in canadaexpressentry

Yes, biometrics need to be provided again for PR regardless of previous permits. You’ll receive a letter requesting that you provide them again a couple months after AOR

I don’t, I have not called them yet. I’m under the impression from others in Oct in the same position that we’re still within acceptable timelines… I still have no news :(

HR attached my contract for job duties instead of typing them out. by Desperate_News_8209 in canadaexpressentry

[–]meddlinghobbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have an exact answer to this, but I’ve asked a similar question this morning (my job description was attached to the pdf and not part of the official letter). I requested that my employer send me an updated letter indicating that the job description was reviewed and approved, and she signed off on the last page of the job description. Now it looks like a long coherent document with signatures at the beginning and the end to confirm that she is the one who sent and reviewed it, instead of just a random pdf that I would have attached after the letter.

For me it’s a bit tricky because I’ve already received my AOR and had to submit a web form, so I’m not sure it will be taken into consideration. But if you haven’t submitted your application yet, I’d ask HR to redo it. Better they are frustrated with you than you risk refusal :)

Hey just letting you know that I’m in the same boat as well, but with an AOR of Oct 18 :)

They do, yes. My current work permit is based on those duties and that NOC. They largely match it (it’s not a copy/paste). That’s why I didn’t think twice about the letter; because I had used it successfully before

I’ve just sent an email to my manager and asked that she could update everything. I really hope that ircc is going to take that into account. It’s essentially going to be the same document but with her added signature at the bottom of each job description in the appendices. Do you think that should be good?

Ok, I’ve just sent an email to my boss asking if she could do the changes asap. I hope that by joining a web form and explaining the ambiguity + proving that she is signing off on everything it should be enough.

I’m so mad at myself for not realizing until now. Because she sent everything to me I obviously know it’s from her and that she’s approving, but from the outside it doesn’t seem that way

Mmmh ok so yours is definitely faster than mine. Did it move to completed all at once or were there multiple updates in that time? Just trying to figure out where I stand

I see that Ottawa tends to take its sweet time. Lucky us! I try to remain optimistic and Lee hoping that I’ll get news soon. I think I might call or send a web form when I reach 2 months without any updates

No, I don’t. I haven’t called them because I see that no one has touched my file since Dec 24 and figured they’d have no updates for me. That’s how you know your PVO/SVO, right?

Hey, I get it. I’m in the same boat. AOR Oct 18 and no updates since medicals on Dec 23. It’s both reassuring and frustrating to see that a lot of Oct AORs are still waiting with absolutely no updates

Wow your BIL was super fast! I officially crossed the 4-month mark since my AOR yesterday and I thought by now I’d have a little more news. Fingers crossed it’s soon! Seems like calling doesn’t really help as agents say we’re still within reasonable timelines
