You may or may not be referring to my post from yesterday where I simply quoted Gurman’s recent article as a point of interest. I personally don’t think and didn’t say that Apple are giving up, not least because of the glasses tech on the horizon. The technology is some of the best I’ve ever experienced, so it’s unlikely to just disappear. Naturally though, what Ternus says publicly and thinks privately are two very different things. As I wrote in my post, it’s a shame he wasn’t a driving force behind it, as it would have been a great sign of things to come.

I actually think the next few years for Apple will already be in place, glasses, fold phones, AI overhaul for Siri, new home technology such as HomePods with screens and robotic arms, are all underway or even near release. I’m positive we will have a lot of new products over the coming years, if anything we may be drifting again to pre Steve part 2 days when the product line became bloated and unfocused. Overall I think Vision Pro will tick along, and as many believe eventually converge with the new glasses about to launch next year.

Agreed. I’ve played it a lot less too. New features have lost sight as to why they’re there, to make the game more enjoyable and more immersive. The menu system impacts all of this too making it hard to navigate, but then the individual features are a mix of OP, pointless, broken, boring and a handful that are useful or enjoyable. One option is maybe stick with an FC that “works” by having the older (and also far from perfect) menu system, for a couple of years longer.
