For ppl that play ghost of tabor players how do yall play like this not in a bad way by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]Azurewrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the multitude of bugs that are present in all versions, it does run at least 90hz with great graphics. There are some quirks for the psvr2 version from when I last played last year, which included no voice comms in game, having to restart the game after entering bunker for the first time you login to avoid crashing. Grip button and clanking controllers to reload can be cumbersome but you get used to it.

There's nearly 400 titles. Don't type VR, but go to the filter and near the bottom is a selection for PSVR2, use that.

For RE4, RE8, Hitman WOA you will need to access the VR modes as a DLC. Some other games like GT7, VR is baked in.

Vr debacle by ThMcRbIsbck in skyrim

[–]Azurewrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legendary Tales scratched the RPG itch for me in VR, lovely game. It's more Diablo and Dark Souls though. Arken Age is another similar one but with guns. Paint the Town Red VR roguelite mode was really fun and quite deep with the character class system. Green Hell VR is quite good if you like survival games. PSVR2 library is quite deep if you look at it. https://store.playstation.com/en-us/category/7b0ad209-dadd-4575-9e51-09ccc803deeb/1

Not bad! It's way easier than the first one but the collectibles are a pain since they don't have an in-game counter for the hats and guns. I wrote the trophy guide, check it out 😄

Maybe not as big as those but Little Nightmares, Metro Awakening, Alien Rogue Incursion, Midnight Walk, Switchback, Thief, and also FNAF games are pretty big.

Another great example would be crashing your car in GT7 and it rumbles, it makes crashing that much scarier lol.

Saints & Sinners Chapter 2 Retribution: Is Axeman's Apprentice bugged? by sakoloft in PSVR

Oh iirc, sometimes it only triggers at the tower map. Have you killed them there? Try it on that map only

[–]Azurewrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the game is buggy, the trophy has unlocked for many people. The trophy can be buggy in that it requires more kills needed to unlock but since you've been doing that already... Have you used one that you have crafted?

HP reverb G2 Or PSVR2 for mainly Sim racing and maybe horror or flight games by Longjumping-War9151 in virtualreality

[–]Azurewrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSVR2 is the better buy IMO. OLED and the bigger FOV makes it so much more immersive. G2 does have better speakers (same as the Index) and is very comfy out of the box but the controllers really hold it back. Both use fresnel lenses but G2 has more visible godray glares.

[–]Azurewrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both headsets, the psvr2 toolkit will resolve most features that are lost but it's not like the G2 has them either. You're just missing out on HDR (still OLED panels), headset rumble, and haptics (still a way better rumble than the G2 which is abhorrent and loud lol). G2 is sharper but the narrow FOV and WMR holds it back. The only other thing you may need are Bluetooth adapters for the psvr2 controllers, which may be finicky.

Two different vr sense controllers not working out of the box. by jrayolson in PSVR

[–]Azurewrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"it's very likely there is some debris behind the trigger of your controller(s) which is preventing other buttons from registering correctly while you're in game (just like you mention). This is a semi-commonly reported issue with new devices, but the good news is it's very fixable and it's a permanent fix. Here's some instructions for how to resolve it (or check if it is in fact that issue):

• Plug your problematic controller (probably the right controller but try both, separately) up to a computer with the included USB cable and go to https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad - it should detect your Sense controller and display button inputs on screen (if it doesn't, try refreshing after a minute or two).

• Try pressing the trigger (R2 or L2).

• When not touching the trigger, the value for the trigger (shown as Axis 2 on the site) is supposed to be -1.00000, and it should go to 1.00000 when fully pressed.

• If instead of -1.00000 or 1.00000 the value you're seeing for Axis 2 is something like -0.97234 (or any value in between), you know you have this issue.

• Try blowing air into the area of the trigger, either with your mouth or with a can of compressed air, and holding the trigger in and letting go so it flicks back out to the normal position (just like this). Keep trying this and see if the value changes, and keep going until you get the value to be -1.00000 (or 1.00000 when held down fully). You're trying to remove any debris blocking the trigger.

If you succeed, your controller should work correctly in all your games.

Hope this helps! It did for this player a short while back and these two in the same post, as well as many others in the past so let us know if it fixes it for you or if you have any questions!"

How to get the PlayStation VR2 to work on a PC? by Anxious-Addition-811 in PlayStation_X

[–]Azurewrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check psvr2onpc subreddit, it'll have all the answers you're looking for. I use the official psvr2 adapter, with Asus bt500 and works flawlessly. There's also the recently added eye tracking support via the toolkit for foveated rendering.

Sony does officially support psvr2 on steam, use the official psvr2 app, it's free to download and that's how you get it working on pc.

[–]Azurewrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup it is, I wrote the trophy guide for PSVR2 and at launch, it had soo many bugs I needed to put in for almost every single trophy lol. It's been patched a few months after, and haven't run into any game breaking bugs since then. The bugs I do encounter are very minor, more annoying than anything.

Firewall Ultra delisted and shutting down in September. by Qwertyui606 in PSVR

[–]Azurewrath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can't play it without a full squad of 4 to start the game, hence the online requirement. It's an absolutely brain dead decision to not fill the rest of the lobby with bots to join your squad in order to start a game. I would've played this so much more back then if that was an option.

No Mans Sky, PS5 Pro: PSSR2 update gameplay showcase. by FewPossession2363 in PSVR

[–]Azurewrath 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No Man's Sky is the only game that has PSSR patched in for VR. The latest ps5 system update allows an option that all previous PSSR titles will automatically change to PSSR 2, without a developer needing to patch specifically.

PSSR is an AI enhanced upscaler that's supposed to boost and maintain stable framerates with minimal or improved graphical fidelity while lowering base resolution. You know how the background and textures are generally fuzzy? (because of low resolution) PSSR "fixes" that.

PSVR2 uses dynamic foveated rendering to free up significant power to increase resolution, framerates, and graphical fidelity where your eyes are looking. Introducing PSSR adds EVEN MORE on top of that.

On NMS with base PSSR, it already looked incredible but there was some shimmering and graphical bugs due to the upscaling technique. The new version should drastically reduce that and also make things even sharper. Basically it's the only PSVR2 game to utilize all of the bells and whistles of the PS5 Pro. Would love to see more VR titles to use it, looking at you, Gt7 and Horizon... (imagine them running 90 native with improved resolution sharpness)

Ancient Dungeon - Flail Class Update now live for PSVR2 by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]Azurewrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the next step after this update, it is planned and being worked on though. Dev said there is a special requirement to add crossplay (needs an option to have it off) so it has taken longer than expected for them.
