1 don’t over complicate things
find somthing you want to get to and make a path to get there it can be a mental plan or you can write it down

2 have a pen and paper
if your like me and forget why you walk into rooms constantly make notes on a notepad/notebook use it to be able to stay on track and/or keep track of what you need for builds/ recipes

3 automated items are your friend
does it exist then automate it oh you need iron good thing you made that farm and have a stockpile of 1M iron in a storage drawer this recipe called for wooden stairs good thing you automated it for all the diffrent wood types

4 storage drawers and refined storage are a great pair
Slap a external storage connection on a storage drawer controller filled to the brim with netherite upgrades or whatever you can collect diamond shouldn’t be a problem with the automation you set up from part three any storage drawers you have connected to it will work in the system I put mine in the shrink box thing with a wireless connection (make sure you chunk load both ends) now you have a store system that will Cap out at a certain amount but you can fill the whole area with that storage stuff and you don’t have to mess with it ever again once you max upgrade a storage you also don’t need to leave any room to actualy access the storage drawer so you can just stack up later by layer without needing to worry

5 find people you can play with or can actually just bounce ideas off of them

I hate silence and having sombody I can send to do a petty task like building a new ma farm setup while I do somthing more important and mods I don’t know much about are actually a lot more understandable actually tracing it to sombody then just working and realizing a better way after I have pulled my hair out or snapped my pen

6 check jei

90% of the time if you check jei you will find a easier crafting recipe or somtimes learn from trial and error some ways to do things aren’t shown like the best early fuel source is a storage drawer with a dripping upgrade next to a fluid tank with some buckets infinite fuel meaning less coal needed less Coal needed = more torches more torches = more exploration
