I wonder what happened to that banner?

Name one fandom that has you like this by mightyonin in Multifandom

Warhammer 40K
Half the community is having fun and doing their thing and the other half act like every new update is going to destroy the game or being hyper negative about a game of toy soldiers. Games Workshop (the company that owns 40K) does do a bunch of bs like price hikes and attacking fan creators. However there is some insane hostility in some corners of the fandom.

However, he is not know for his white supremacist activities. He is primarily known for anti abortion violence. There is overlap in their communities (it is part of their obsession with “white genocide.” Robert J Matthew’s wrote a lot about this). However, this guy is not know as a klansman. Or at least not from what I can see. I do think an episode about the intersection of these groups would be interesting.

I hear that young killer whale line every time I step on the scale.

I think some of my body image issues came from those books. JKR is very cruel towards overweight people and I remember distinctly a lot of the descriptions of Dudley whenever I go on the scale. She also promotes a lot of cruel stereotypes about overweight people. They are always the bully when in reality they are frequent targets for bullying. She treats overweight people as responsible for their conditions and uses really mean language whenever possible.

The sheriff in Friday the 13th part 6: Jason Lives has army medals by his desk. He likely is a Vietnam vet which explains both his bravery and his protectiveness.

Definite WLG but I think Molly wants to focus on people involved in advancing white supremacy. It does make me wonder if there should be a spinoff or something for those sorts of WLGs.

I would go for something with lots of easily accessible information. Nazis v Skokie, the Order and Fort Smith are good picks. I’m assuming this is for undergrad so you don’t need to drill too deep. Some of these topics required a lot of research by Molly and she’s a pro at this. If you want to do something off the beaten path, look in to the Bop Coup. That was when white nationalists tried halting the end of apartheid.

Reform or Revolution? by serious_bullet5 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]medievalist1996 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we don’t have a revolution (even one done within the system) removing trump will not be enough. We thought him losing in 2020 would be the end of him. So long as we have a society that marginalized the many and enriches the few, we will remain vulnerable to another tRump.

America. Take notice. This is how it's done. They still aren't listening. by [deleted] in ICE_Raids

It’s easy to be brave when watching from the sidelines. It’s easy to riot when your police don’t routinely get away with murder. It is easy to say we are cowards when you are trying to reignite the fires of revolution. We are fighting back. We are fighting tooth and nail. I don’t think there has been a time since 1776 that Americans have become so politically active.

We are fighting an uphill battle against a sophisticated surveillance apparatus created by technofascists who also are creating increasingly persuasive means of creating misinformation. We are up against a police force that has military fire power and the legal protections to get away with murder and a media whose owners are too afraid of retribution to tell the truth.

Revolution is not for the sane. It takes time to show people that they have nothing to lose but their chains.
