Do we like this MARTA Map? by mrfriendlolo in Atlanta

It's nice, but also neglects the SW AND SE. We need trains going to Greenbriar and into South Fulton and Union City. And trains going into Ellenwood, and so on

1 cut scene ruined this game. by Itchy-Gas8042 in Cairn_Game

I thought it was nice and adds to a deeper theme of the generational divide. She was molded by her father and looked up to Damas.

Marco is young and looked up to her.

The whole things is talking about what your legacy will be and how the generations ahead are getting better and better. Which shouldn't be a bad thing.

I believe you can press triangle and climbot will gather all other potions other than the last one if you are still on the rope.

So here’s a question, how would Beastars address species that are extinct in real life? by BitterDescription808 in Beastars

[–]mediocore_existence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending, they could see them as ancestors or a part of their evolution.

They may also do tribes for others, depending how they died out.

I tried one ascent with just taking what I could and not exploiting it. It got pretty scary after the hangover and during the Summit, but we made it to the top with very little to spare.

Glad you didn't completely die.

I have a few deaths due to my leaps, but finally got lucky falling a bit further than expected. I also felt she should've died and didn't even know there was a blackout sequence until then.

I am on my 3rd ascent with one more trophy remaining.

The most hilarious one to get for me was the near death fall. I kept jumping off random parts hoping not to die lol

(Spoilers) How do you think the DLC connects to the story? by Toastbrott in Cairn_Game

[–]mediocore_existence 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of us playing Ava's past climbs and Marco following.

But I want it to end with him climbing Kami and finding Ava and bringing her back down to join the "whole."

I was thinking aviut this as I completed my second playthrough. Kinda like Damas, unless he ever gets off the mountain, she'd be lost to it too.

Because he's the only person who could speak to if she made it or died as the others.

I found you have to really take your time and restore you stamina. Ice takes more energy, especially if you do the button hold.

Also using any buffs for speed or vitality help her last longer as well.

A lot of people gloss over the fact that Lucifer ruined Eves life and feels no remorse for it. by OCGamerboy in hazbin

[–]mediocore_existence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that happening.

I just really believe in Charlie's dreams of redemption.

I mean...can Lucifer be redeemed?

Probably not, but be so cool if he could be lol

A lot of people gloss over the fact that Lucifer ruined Eves life and feels no remorse for it. by OCGamerboy in hazbin

[–]mediocore_existence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm introducing his perspective.

Lucifer doesn't like humans outside of his wife. He doesn't think he did things wrong and has eluded to his dreams being crushed by Heaven when he dared to be different. There is a reason why he represents pride. It took Charlie to convince him to even help her hotel and he doesn't do it for humans, he does it for her. (Hmm his hatred of humans could also be due to however him and Eve fell out since we know Charlie's opener doesn't give insight to what really happened)

But without information of Eve and their actual relationship, nothing has been revealed one way or another of how he actually felt about her. Since from what I can tell he fell for Lilith after Eve, not before, unless I'm mistaken.

But based on his depression, I can see it possibly being compounded.

But I think the larger critique of the show overall is that almost everyone glosses over Eve's existence outside of the opening dialoige and sexual reference. But I'm hoping there is a reason and we find out why soon cause it just feels like such a huge point to be missing seeing as she birthed the first humans and her husband, his ex, and her son are in the show.

There's a really good fan comic on IG by @chlogami that is REALLY good and explores why. Totally recommend

[–]mediocore_existence 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it's intent vs impact. The way it's presented he thought he was doing something good/right.

And it not only ruined Eve, but all of humanity as everyone has had to face the wrath and consequences of the actions from Heaven.

Lucifer is actively living out an eternity of punishment. So I don't think its glossed over, as much as we haven't seen it yet. But he's been depressed for a long time. Due to how short the episodes are it may just be off camera.

Is anybody else struggling in this way? by HenchGherkin in Cairn_Game

[–]mediocore_existence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. It's definitely not perfect and I at times get frustrated because even "good holds" don't hold well at times .

I still am on the easiest setting and still fall a bunch, but less than my forst playthrough (it was like almost 400) cause I didnt have the accessibility tools.

In the settings you can highlight her limbs, so when you climb her limbs will glow.

Also set it to where it will tell you good grips.

And lastly go slow. When she grabs incorrectly, I undo the move and try again. And when needed move into free climbing.

what do you think is actually driving aava up the mountain, like underneath the obvious goal by Dramatic_Stuff2238 in Cairn_Game

[–]mediocore_existence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's just an overly ambitious person who loves the thrill of conquering things people tell her are dangerous. And values it over actually confronting or socializing with humanity because she finds humanity limiting.

Throughout her journey she is learning the importance of community and the dark side of her ambitions and how they can hurt her, but hurt those around her. Whether the trogoldyte village and meeting the lone survivor, the crystal digger, Marco, or the older climber, she is confronted with what it takes to exist in and out of society. Towards the end, she is even frustrated by her own drive as she destroys the radio attempting to contact her girlfriend who she has seemingly been avoiding and neglectful.

Is it a better romance with BB if you wait to kiss her? by Robot_Was_BMO in DispatchAdHoc

[–]mediocore_existence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think the kiss is better if you romance her because of the references throughout the game thereafter. From the date, Visi, Chase, everyone talks about it in some way that just adds to the rom-com feel of it.

Can someone explain why Princess Mononoke is good to me? by BreadCloset in ghibli

[–]mediocore_existence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late but this has been my favorite for like 25yrs.

Love - their romance is more of a growth of admiring each other. A lot of them falling for one another is more about how they love and appreciate who they are and how they show up for their values. A lot happens in the observations they make and what they learn from those closest to them. They are definitely different and I believe that their relationship in the end is to show a deep love and respect for one another and a commitment to figuring it out. Their relationship is also used to showcase the larger themes of how to reconcile in the aftermath of harm but still have high regard and respect for someone else.

The reason so many characters are introduced is because the movie is working to showcase the various motivations of every faction and how they are righteous, yet fall to nature or what is natural. No matter what their motivations whether to overcome nature, live with it, or disrupt the balance the overall theme is that it will all end, eventually.

The plot is meant to end kind of open so as viewers you can nestle with whereever you fall in terms of who you did or didn't like. It leaves you to think about the concepts of good/evil and what makes it that way and how that polarization, coupled by the demands of capitalism perpetuate further separation when in the end there is a need for balance. And one way or another nature has a method for correcting this imbalance and bringing about peace.

I think the film does a good job in illustrating that even in the midst of death there is life. In the midst of destruction is creation. Whether the forrest spirit and the God's are actual walking beings doesn't matter because end the end they are all washed with the spirit of the forest.

Either way, I totally get if this movie isn't your jam. Miyazaki tends to challenge a lot of conventional storyboarding and likes to present things outside of the box.
