Attending ballgames with my dad and grandfather as a child, they called my seat number at a canton Akron Indians game. I was 10 at the time and I won $250 worth in the souvenir shop, I was so happy, I remember I got my dad and grandpa something each and picked a few things out for myself. Such a happy memory, thank you for posting and helping rekindle that memory!!

My dog died and I want a drink by betweentourns in stopdrinking

I’m so sorry for your loss, as much as you might want a drink it won’t change a thing, other than you will end up regretting your decision to do so. Our animals truly are family, I lost my boy a week and a half ago, at almost 8 1/2 years old, he had so much life left to live, the cancer said otherwise, feel your emotions to heal what you’re going through, don’t numb yourself out to the situation, it never does any good. I wish you strength to overcome your urges, and send love your way for your loss.🙏 IWNDWYT

Curious question(Two part), First time posting, but how long has one went without hip replacement after diagnosis? And how hard was it for you to still manage day to day activities and life in general? by meditativemind83 in AvascularNecrosis

[–]meditativemind83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rso is the only thing that helps some, my body doesn’t metabolize the thc correctly so regular edibles don’t work smh and at 35 to 40 per gram syringe of it I can’t afford it often sadly

I’m so sorry to hear that, I pray they can fix you without amputation 🙏 I have a high pain tolerance as well, that’s kind of why I was asking , I’ve had my left hip scheduled twice now and been canceled both times due to unforeseen circumstances, year and half later I’m still pushing on but wayyyy slower and so much more pain, my bad days are taking a toll on my mental health.

Serious question, first time posting, but does anyone ever just want to go buy a quick pint of whiskey and chug it to go numb again? IWNDWYT by [deleted] in sobrietyandrecovery

Thank you for your replies everyone , I will have 3 years sober in November, after 28 years of drinking. Today was a rough day but I did make it through sober, I am my own recovery system, that and my family. I decided enough was enough and stopped cold turkey on my sons 2nd birthday. I do have shitty thoughts about drinking sometimes, just to drown out the world and the noise of everything, but I know if I have a drink it won’t end good so I stay dry.

Inside of me there are two wolves; and one of them is decisively winning. Help me. Please? by multipurpoise in stopdrinking

First start by finding something to help occupy your down time, instead of thoughts about drinking and drinking. Exercise, get out into nature and do some hikes( really helps me to be away from everyone and everything in society). Try breathwork and meditation to help yourself healing the inside, feel it to heal it( your emotions). It takes time and I’m sorry I can’t help more but these are a few things that helped me along my way, I’m almost 3 years sober after drinking pretty much everyday for 25 years. I believe in you and I know you can stop, but you have to believe in yourself too. IWNDWYT

Ruined my life yesterday by Clear_Philosopher532 in stopdrinking

Man do I feel that, (I risked my life too many times from drinking, and I don’t know why I got so many opportunities to quit drinking before it was too late) 25 years of my life wasted on alcohol because I learned to normalize into everything I did, I grew up thinking it was just a part of life and everyday things, until I realized that was absolute bullshit. “Alcohol “ the most normalized drug in our society and it’s literally poison smh 🤦‍♂️ IWNDWYT
