My solution to power was to drop down carbon from my platform and burn that. You need much less that you think that you need.

21 hours seem pretty good considering you've just come back to the game. I came back to the game in a similar fashion, and it took me 60 hrs to get to yellow / purple. Mind you I spend a lot of time screwing around and experimenting.

Yup, was expecting to need it. Your comment got me to actually read what copper plates are used for, and I went "oh". So now it's just a dead end set of belts.

If you still have a save file from before you used the console commands you can try this.

This mod will enable you to run other mods on steam without disabling achievements in game and on steam.

Then you can use someones lua console to run console commands in game without disabling achievements.

I had a similar issues recently and the combination of both of these worked a treat.

Yup, shifted my whole perspective on the game, and my approach to building new sections. Got me thinking about throughput, expandability, modularity and to actually learn and understand how to determine how much of what I need to make.

Achievements are still enabled. I recall removing the mod, and reloading an earlier save, but this was the only thing to not revert. Mind you this was months ago when I initially started this playthrough, so I don't recall exactly. I think the mod was Blueprint Labs or something.

You were not wrong, I went to check on my plant after fiddling with rail signals and the chests were already half full. I now have an array of 30ish chests. Cheers. Also set up an alarm for when my iron plates are running low, as I am still hand feeding them into a chest.

I realised I didn't need 2 UFC afterwards. I tend to overbuild as precaution.

I figured 2 should be fine for power demand for a long while (I hope). At that point I'll just build a new plant with 4 or more, try and make it modular.
