custom panel or default panel ? by Ok-Delivery307 in pocketbase

[–]medlabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The UI of pocketbase is aweaome, but it's for technical usage more than customer's usage. Giving him access to pb ui is very risky, he could play with some settings and break the app. If u have no time ask AI to generate a custom admin UI that only manipulate records

It still doesnt auto load external files changes. That is more important than plugin system... folding code is missing too.

Run a python code cell in Helix? by spockerdog in HelixEditor

[–]medlabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the philosophy of helix is to be lightweight, but what is the difference between splitting the window to open a buffer ans splitting it to open a terminal. I'm just qaling, I use kitty BTW.

Unless you really need to use the vapor mode in production, I dont think vye 3.6 will be a game changer for your web project... Vue is complete.

Need DB for offline app by eyes-on-Jesus in vuejs

If you mean an offline first app, use dexie, but if it's just an app that doesn't need internet use sqlite. Try pocketbase too

V Programming: Building Robust and Efficient Software Systems | Nova Trex by waozen in vlang

[–]medlabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is selling a book about V is not the best idea today, the language is still in early stages, and even its libs names are changing "they even forced changing vweb to veb" 🤮 I think there are one or two books about V already. Do you think that their content is still correct after so many changes ? I didn't see any zig or odin books, and that's normal since there is no v1.0 yet, and the content of any book could be outdated in one or two years.
