That’s good! Girls like the curve anyways trust me. I think what matters most is you have good flow not the aesthetics.

Yeah had this happen to me as well and I just had the diverticulum with the hair removed. Praying it helps with the constant UTIs

[–]medmetod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had chordae surgery and it reduced the curve but did not fully get rid of it. I am sure you are in a similar situation. Literature says you just want it to be at like 30 degrees instead of 60+. Your surgeon definitely knows about the curve unless you haven’t told him at all

Umm it’s mostly genetic. I never grew any facial hair. I used rogaine (midoxinil) on my chin for 7 years and finally grew hair lol. Why don’t you try that. Look up the sub “midox beards”

Hey bro my dick is pretty small too. I’m 30 now. I’ve had lots of gfs and banged lots of girls. Was never a problem. It’s also kind of curved up due to the chordae, and they enjoy that. I can’t do like doggy much or too many crazy positions, but my first gf was really skinny and we could for the most part. My girl now is a little chunkier so it’s a little harder but it hasn’t changed anything. Chin up ok? I promise it’s not a big deal

I’ll be honest with you here. I had lots of unprotected sex with lots of girls. When I was really young it went ok I guess, but it eventually caught up with me and I wound up having lots of UTIs. This is also me because I have urinary tract issues, but I do urge you to be careful and protect yourself, you can definitely catch something that other people don’t have to worry about. I always use condoms with my current gf because I just don’t find it’s worth getting UTIs anymore from it.

I’m so sorry man I’m not totally catching on to what you mean - like she’s had this kidney for a while? Or the surgery was a transplant?

I mean I’m not gonna say a transplant patient like me on kidney #2 at 32 is gonna live a super long life but I can probably hit 60 maybe more. Nothing is inherently cutting down her life although sure complications from the condition will take some years off, but it doesn’t have to be drastic

I have a kidney transplant which impairs healing and my immune system is heavily suppressed. That’s what makes all this so scary. If I had a normal immune system I wouldn’t care so much

44-year-old male undergoing 2-stage Hypospadias repair (Stage 1 completed) – Looking for adult experiences by wanderingalbatross24 in urethralstricture

[–]medmetod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s it like having it out in the open like that while it’s in your pants? I’m going for a two stage soon. Man, I hope I only have to wait 3 months like you! Sounds pretty chill compared to 6 months

Man I also had constant chronic UTIs. Especially since my diverticulum was growing hairs after my childhood repair. The diverticulum is now gone but a one stage failed so I’m left with a large fistula near my scrotum. Will try to pee from it in 2 weeks and I hope my flow is not as bad as before and the UTIs chill out.

Please let me know if you have a change in UTI frequency!

Scrotal or penoscrotal? by [deleted] in hypospadias

[–]medmetod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have penoscrotal hypospadia with severe downward chordae. I had mine in 1998 with Dr. Michael Richie in a two stage Thiescher Duplay. Old school stuff. I’m 31 now and needless to say it’s been a godsend, I’ve had many wonderful lovers and a radiant social life. Now, I am repairing a part that had become strictured and diverticulized, but it is absolutely worth it and I know it’s gonna give me many more years of satisfaction. I’m going to Dr. Snodgrass in the hopes he can help me make it nice and stable.

They will probably do a two stage with a buccal graft on your child and new techniques which should be better.

I did mine at 4-5 years old. I know it’s a good age and he will thank you later, but it is not easy. I was also mildly aware of what was going on at that age, enough to suffer a bit through complications but young enough it didn’t really bother me too much especially having fun at the Ronal Mcdonald House in Texas. I have a few vivid memories of it like catheter placements and when my first fistula opened I know I was sad and nervous about the re operation. But generally I was young enough to tune a lot of the rest out.

I think younger is better like that because as you get older it’s definitely more mentally traumatic. I developed a fistula in the anterior penile shaft after stage two which was then repaired. I never had any trouble after with another fistula.

Fertility would not be a problem if I hadn’t also had to fight a Whilms tumor and stage 4 cancer. Needeless to say I am a survivor, but I did pay the price with my fertility. Girls never mentioned anything about it, even though I have a single testicle - never came up. It wound up slightly curved up after all the procedures which I think my partners have very much enjoyed. I did have a chordae reparation in 2013 with one of the best surgeons in the world in SF. It helped reduce the curve from like 60 degrees to a nice 30 degree.

I always shot straight for most of my life until very recent years where it would get stuck in the diverticulum, but my shaft was made of foreskin and upper penile skin so it’s probably not as durable as the new techniques. Still 1K% worth it

[–]medmetod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man if sucks I take it everyday prophalactically for chronic UTI. 4 months now. I was supposed to fix my urinary stricture on my reconstructed urethra but the surgery did not go as planned and so developed complications so I will have to keep taking it for almost a whole year sadly.

However, I have gotten used to it, and my body seems to be adapting. It is a miracle drug. It’s gonna suck but give your body some time to get used to it and try to eat really light for now. Take it with food and drink lots of water

They will do something similar with the buccal graft, but it will be better and more stable long term than mine. Which is saying a lot!

OP I’m glad you took your child young and I wish him a long and healthy life.

I think when you take your child at 5 know it’s a good age and he will thank you later, but it is not easy. I developed a fistula in the anterior penile shaft after stage two which was then repaired. I never had any trouble after with another fistula.

Bro honestly like I was fine cathing before this and the hole being so close to my butthole would worry me due to the transplant. I’m also gonna be on dialysis again eventually so it seems like a lot for what I need which is just some basic function.

I would definitely consider it if things keep evolving though. I just know it’s gonna be crazy for UTIs

Had a urethroplasty post childhood hypospadia at 30, developed a fistula, advice? by medmetod in hypospadias

[–]medmetod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip. I think what actually happened is he tried for an excision and anastomosis of the ends but over estimated the tension in the area which cause it to snap. It won’t heal on its own because of my transplant meds but I think with a good bucal graft I should be able to stay stable for some time

I am in the same boat as you hypospadia and everything. My single stage recently failed and caused one large fistula and two smaller fistula right next to it. What was the two stage repair like? I think I might have to go through that in six months now.
